I first started going to MGPC when the bulk-booking clinic down the road was all booked out one day when I was legitimately sick. This was back when I was a bit poorer, but MGPC taught me quickly that paying for consultations was worth it when the service provided was so, so much better. For general consultations I highly recommend Dr Kratzing, Dr Butcher (slightly alarming surname for a doctor but give him, his English accent and his monobrow a chance), and Dr Gilbert . For general consultations and lady business (because I am a girl and feel weird talking to boys about girl things), I highly recommend Dr Featherstone and Dr Munro. I'm not super picky with my doctors, so I'll generally book an appointment at a time that's most convenient for me rather than for a specific doctor, but in all my time going to MGPC I've only seen a couple of doctors I didn't gel with. Like all clinics, you may find yourself having to sit around for a while - I usually call up to check how far behind a doctor is running before I get in the car, but still end up waiting for at least one appointment ahead of me. I think the longest I've waited is around 45mins, but that was a once-off - 15-20mins is more standard. The waiting room has plenty of trashy magazines available for reading, and it's large enough that you can generally get cosy in a corner without feeling like you're playing a game of sardines (though during flu season it can still get pretty full in there). I've lived in a few different suburbs of Brisbane over the years, both near to and far from MGPC, but I'm very happy with the standard at MGPC and will continue to be a client no matter where in Brisbane I live. read more

Ohhhhhh Morningside! How I love thee! This GP is hands down great service. My recommendation: Dr Munro. Always professional, understanding and damn honest. As for reception staff- they're lovely! The place is clean, easy to find, next to an S&N/ M&L (blood test places) .. Conveniently near the train station and a bus station. Doctors are hard to give reviews about because i'm sure you don't want to hear about my throat infection.. all in all. My doctor for all things health related. 3 years coming and i'm a true Morningside GP lover. Get in there, get a checkup and enjoy the treats of Morningside. read more

First report I've ever written. I just felt with something as important as your health, you shouldn't be satisfied with a doctor that won't even look after their most loyal and longterm clients. I've been going to this doctor for my whole life that i can remember. They had full medical records for a lifetime when I broke and dislocated some bones in my leg and called up to routinely ask for medication that the doctor had suggested that I do. After being pushed around the plate and ignored and not dealt with correctly by 2 or 3 administration staff members, and confusing info was sent to the wrong doctor, I was eventually left without any form of pain relief for days until i could organise everything. These days were honestly some of the worst of my life because of the pain. At points is was worse than the original incident. Eventually I was called again to book in for my follow up appointments. When I explained my story, I was told it was important and it mattered, and that Genine....maybe..... the owner or manager was going to call as matter of priority to try and address my concerns. I havent heard from them again. I had a lot of faith in these guys but when it actually came to the crunch, they left me about as high and dry as they could. I felt truly let down and betrayed by these guys and wanted to share with others the type of treatment they reserve for their loyal clientele. read more

Went to MGPC on Sunday 21/10/2012 so expected a high rate for consultation. The problem was an ingrown toenail may have been all of 10 minutes and $95 to be told by the Doctor that cannot fix the problem. I served in the Navy and the paramedics used to perform the procedure so i am perplexed that a Dr Cannot do this procedure So much for advancement read more

Went to this practice twice and saw Dr Samantha Ranasinghe. The practise itself seemed very pleasant however I would NEVER recommend Dr Samatha RANASINGHE She was very unprofessional, rather flippant and unconcerned. Diagnosis was given without even so much as looking at my issue being my very swollen painful knee, suggesting I go to the pool and do a number of 'knee to chest ' raises. I subsequently was admitted to Emergency hospital with acute infection, fever and put on IV drip for 24 hrs. I am still undergoing treatment If you want a dr who will just hand out scripts for any drugs you want then go to her but for real medical treatment go elsewhere. read more
