I have nothing but positive things to say about Eric Taylor; he has been nothing but professional. I called several other landscape architects/designers and they either never called me back or basically told me that they were too busy and could not get me on their schedule. Prior to our meeting, he told me on the phone what his services entailed and the cost of those services. He always let me know if he was running late due to traffic, etc., if we had a meeting scheduled. When we scheduled an appointment, he always showed up. It's hard to impress my husband but he definitely was impressed by Eric's talents and Eric's willingness to really listen to what we were looking for in our design. Morgan Taylor Design has relocated but is still in the area. This company does landscape design work. Eric Taylor claims to be a landscape architect. We hired this company to design and draw a master plan for our property that is approximately 7 acres. Project was to include designing for horses, pasture, barn, enlarging pool area to include outdoor kitchen and patio, landscaping around the house and designing entryway including gates. He was paid for services that he never completed. He responds slowly if at all when issues arise. We have since startrd working with a different company. When we compared the quality of his design work to the other company, we really realized how incomplete and lacking his work project and design was for what we paid. Would recommend that you not get taken in by his "good old boy smile and charm:"; but instead find someone else to do your design work project. read more

I recently hired Eric Taylor to develop a landscape design plan for my yard (front and back) after losing much of my shrubbery to the unusually cold winter. After paying Eric for the design plan, he promised to provide a breakdown of the plant costs and then order the plants at wholesale cost. The project was to have begun the first week of June. However, when I attempted to contact Eric to ask when I could expect the plants, he had "vanished" and did not return my calls, texts, or emails. He had up and left town for three weeks to go to Alaska without telling his clients in advance and with no regard for current projects in the pipeline! When he finally returned my emails five weeks later, he made no apologies for his absence and acted as though nothing was wrong. Eric then emailed me a cost breakdown for the project that was twice what my budget allowed, even though I had clearly stated in writing what my budget was. I ended up hiring a local nursery to complete the project Eric had abandoned. I'm not even sure Eric is really a landscape architect. He could not produce an invoice for my payments on company stationary, there is no company website, and he does not conduct himself as a professional. I wholeheartedly agree with Anna B's review -- stay away from Eric Taylor and Morgan Taylor Design and hire someone who has been personally referred to you by someone you trust. read more
