Morgan photographed our engagement and wedding photos -- both incredible! Engagement photo session at Duke Gardens in the spring time, we brought our dog and Morgan knew all the tricks to get our good girl looking great. (Morgan also got my partner and me to look our best as well, ha!). Our wedding was in November in our backyard and then a reception at the Museum of Life and Science. She's shot lots of weddings at the Museum, so she really knows her way around and captured a ton of fun moments. Morgan is truly a pro in all settings and she's a joy to work with. There are so many photographers out there these days, and I am grateful that out of all of them, I ended up with Morgan! My mom found her website and put us in contact. Morgan is very easy to have around--she's smart, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to, and she knows exactly what she's doing. It's really nice to have someone so calm around during the mania of a wedding. At more than one point during our wedding pictures, she asked us what we wanted next and we asked her to just choose for us, which she did. The decisiveness was much appreciated, and the photos were about as unstressful and fun as it's possible for wedding photos to be. She was especially great (and flexible) with the kids in attendance, and I think she got some really great shots! All communication with Morgan is extremely prompt, and she sent us our engagement pictures significantly before we expected them. Our engagement photos are of very high quality, blow up into larger sizes well, and were easy to order. We used them on our wedding website and on our Christmas cards, and the colors and lighting look splendid both on the screen and in person. We haven't received our wedding pictures yet because our wedding was less than a week ago, but I expect them to arrive soon and am very excited for them! If we need professional photography in the future, I will absolutely be turning back to Morgan. Highly recommended. read more

We had Morgan photograph our courthouse wedding and she did such a great job. We had photos taken at Duke Gardens prior to our ceremony and she arrived early to scout out the best locations. Despite the cold temperatures she was very enthusiastic and also accompanied us to the courthouse. Her photos were stunning and she had them finished very quickly. If I had to use one word to describe Morgan as a photographer it would be FUN! I initially chose her because of her experience shooting pets and I wanted to have our dog in our engagement photos (which she is really good at photographing dogs, by the way). She made us feel so comfortable during our engagement photos and she really listened to the style that we wanted. At the wedding she did a wonderful job of blending into the background and not making us feel like we were surrounded by paparazzi. We got so many beautiful posed shots as well as fun, action shots on the dance floor. And she is also FAST! We had the photos from our wedding within a week and a few previews right after the wedding. Morgan is the type of photographer who actually wants to get to know you as a couple and takes time to listen to what you want. She really develops a relationship with her clients-- we are still in touch and even used her again when we got a second dog so that we could update our family photos! read more

PLAIN FANTASTIC We grandparents live in Los Angeles, but the gathering was in Durham. Morgan photographed our family reunion June 11, 2017. As in every large family gathering, "formal" photos are to be expected and Morgan was able to corral the twenty of us - including nine grandchildren - with super results. With posterity out of the way, the FUN started and Morgan got it all. Quiet conversations between 3 year old and five year old cousins, group cannonball contests in the pool, swinging from a tree branch rope and even the more serious group conversations about purpose and life. We never saw her do any of the informal shots but she always seemed to be available on the spot if something set was needed. Tee shirt designs, posters, wonderful grown up sibling shots - somehow she got it all. And not only that, but the photos were available in very short order in a digital format. We had no requirement to buy copies or packages. As I write this, almost a month later, we find ourselves swiping back and forth through those wonderful photos and they only seem to get better and better. That is how memories are made. Morgan did it for us. If there were more than five stars to choose from, she would have them all. read more

The first time I became familiar with Morgan's photography skills was when my husband-to-be hired her to shoot our engagement as a surprise. She literally hid in the bushes and I never knew she was there until after the proposal. She beautifully captured our moment together in a way that was completely real. We loved her and her work so much that we hired her to shoot our rehearsal dinner and wedding. Of course, Morgan exceeded our expectations. She goes above and beyond to make her clients happy. She is friendly and cheerful which makes it really easy to feel comfortable around her and therefore leads to beautiful, natural smiles in pictures. She is also affordable and completely upfront about her pricing and the services she provides. My husband and I got married in June with a first look at the Washington Duke Inn, ceremony at the Duke Chapel, and a reception at the University Club. Morgan was very familiar with all of those spaces and seamlessly moved with us through the day. She was well-versed in the long list of Chapel photography rules and communicated really well with everyone (family, wedding party, Chapel staff, vendors, wedding planner, and most importantly, me and my husband) to get all the shots that I wanted. She worked with me prior to the wedding to talk about specific shots that I envisioned and the really strict schedule that I wanted to follow. She executed everything flawlessly (just as I had asked!), we ran on time the entire day, and I got every shot that I wanted. I never felt rushed, I didn't have to wrangle people, and I never worried about Morgan missing something. Morgan managed to be everywhere she needed to be at all the right times. My husband I are were so surprised when she sent us a few pictures within 12 hours of the wedding ending. She proceeded to send us our entire edited rehearsal dinner and wedding albums (2000+ pictures) within a week! So many of my friends have had to wait months to see their wedding pictures. I do not have the patience for that, so I was elated that Morgan delivered them so quickly. Morgan uses a really convenient website where we could download our images and order high quality prints (this enabled us to view all of our pictures while we were on our honeymoon!). She also mailed us a flash drive with all of our images. In sum, I would hire her again in a heartbeat, I plan to use her exclusively for all my future family photos (she's amazing with babies and kids!), and I recommend her to all of my family and friends. read more
