He kept repeating that he didn't talk to salesmen, even though I asked him a very simple question. Do you use epoxy glue? He yelled at me at the top of his lungs, "Get out!" He reminded me of Will Smith at the Oscars slapping Chris Rock. He physically rushed around the counter from behind the Covid plastic screen to try to start a fight with me. I couldn't believe it. Was this guy okay in the head? Why was he rushing towards me? In that moment, he actually verbally threatened me with physical violence and made me believe he was going to start a fight with me. Thank God there were no woman or children in the waiting room. I was near the door. "Should I run out of the shop?" I asked myself. I never said anything wrong and never once raised my voice. All I did was ask a simple question. I think said, "I was just asking you, if you used epoxy." When he saw I wasn't scared of him and that I was just calmly standing there, he stopped rushing towards me and started berating me. He was yelling at me at the top of his lungs. Please be kind. Kindness cost nothing. I let him know how his behavior made me feel and turned around and walked out of his shop. Then I drove around the corner and cried for ten minutes in my car thinking of how much I hated my job and my life. I am a sales man and it is difficult for me to make a living. It doesn't cost anything to be kind. But you will lose business by being rude. How many people think Will Smith was justified in slapping Chris Rock? Think about that Dave. Tell me, do your employees actually like you? Please respect sales people please. These are difficult times. During 20211, Covid has made if difficult for everyone. I am leaving this review because I have had to make money for myself by actually going out onto the streets and knocking on doors and and walking form company to company. Every once in a while I meet an asshole like Dave. Life is hard. Please don't be mean to sales people who are just trying to survive. Don't pull a Will Smith like Dave! Trusted auto repair is back!…read more Last year, when Airpark Auto Repair in the Scottsdale airpark area was purchased by a typical auto-repair-ripoff artist, at least one of the honest folks from there found a home at Tri-City Auto Repair. This is a division of Tri-City Transmission, to which the prior (honest) owners of Airpark would refer people for specialized transmission work. You can rest easy that Aaron at Tri-City will honestly diagnose your auto issues, recommend any repairs or service (all at reasonable prices), and also let you know which of the repairs and service are urgent and which can wait - and if so, for how long. Most of us are justifiably terrified of taking our vehicles to the mechanics for fear of being ripped off, but Tri-City is honest and fair. I have ZERO reservations recommending these folks!

If you are looking for an honest and thorough mechanic, please go to MaxCore! Even if this is not the closest auto shop to you, or near your neighborhood, this is the place to trust and feel well taken care of. I have to tell you what happened so you can understand how amazing these business owners are! I was driving with my 10y/o son north on the 17, in thick rush hour traffic, headed to Rock Springs. My truck quickly overheated, it notified me and the temp was all of a sudden at 255, then 259! I made my way over to the next exit, Indian School, while hurrying to call my husband so he could navigate me to somewhere that I could cool down and get help. He saw a gas station, then an auto shop not far off the interstate. I made it to the auto shop. My son and I walked in and were greeted by Laura. I explained what happened and asked if I was able to get what I needed. She said, "Let me get Rudy for you". We let the engine cool and ended up chatting with Laura the whole time. What a wonderful human! She was so warm and positive. She clicked with my son, she answered all of his questions and embraced his silliness. Our stress disappeared and we were enjoying our time! When my truck was cool enough, we all went out to investigate. Unfortunately, it was not just a coolant issue. Rudy saw the leaky hoses. He knew I shouldn't continue to drive north and risk a bigger problem happening on the hill. With the kiddo in tow, I took his advice. He put 50/50 coolant/water into my radiator, Laura hugged my son and I, and we drove home to Ahwatukee. I had given Laura my business card and she called me a little bit after we got home to make sure we were safe. We made new friends for life last night. Laura, you call me any time! I hope I can help you guys some day the way you and Rudy took such good care of my son and I. Thank you. There ARE wonderful people in this world.

I wasn't going to even post about this, but I sent them the email that I am about to post below here and they didn't even write back to say, "hey piss off" or "sorry" or anything. Good day, My name is Tim Brown. I have been doing business with you guys for the last 6 or 7 years. I wasn't even going to let you guys know this, but I decided that if you at least knew about it, maybe you can prevent something like this in the future for other customers. I have done about 10 transactions with you guys and the first 8 were absolutely flawless at a price that could not be beat. And I am very grateful for that work. The last 2 times you guys did some work for me though there were some minor oversights that put me in a bad position and wound up costing me dearly after the fact. I am only really interested in telling you about the latest transaction. I want to be clear about a few things. - This repair was done 3 months ago on September 11th, 2013 - I am taking about 30% of the blame on all of this. - I am not asking for you guys to correct it or make it right in anyway. At this point it serves no purpose for anyone to put the amount of time and cost it would take to make it right. I have a 2002 Nissan Altima you guys have repaired for me a few times. My goal was to make this Altima last until this summer. On September 11th you guys replaced the timing chain system for me. During this repair Jim called me to inform me that they would need to drain my oil and do an oil change. I said fine. The oversight on your guy's part was you never put oil in it after you drained it, but I wasn't sure of that until just Friday. I am not a car guy by any means. Here is where my 30% of blame comes in. I check that oil religiously. Generally I need to put about a half-quart in every 6 weeks or so. I will also admit it had been a while since I got that oil changed. Another thing that I take blame for (and please keep in mind I am not a car guy at all) is I was under the impression cars only took about 2 and half courts of oil total. But I figured since an oil changed just happened with you guys I didn't need to worry about it for a few weeks. I only drive this car a few times a week anyway. When I checked the oil about a week later it looked like none was on the dipstick. There was tiny remnants of something, but not much. So I put a quart of oil in and I got the same results on my dipstick. Not much of anything. I just thought maybe they did some kind of super clean in there or something. This goes on for a few months. I am not seeing any oil when I check and I am not seeing much when I add a half a quart or so. Then I was worrying I had too much oil. Finally on Friday I was driving and the car was acting very peculiar. I was getting white smoke out of the exhaust at take-off and it was very rough. Then my oil light came on. In talking to a mechanic on my street he told me that car probably takes about 4 and a half quarts. We put in 3 and finally I saw oil on my dipstick. But at that point it's too late. He says I have probably blown some kind of valve gasket and that would be waaaaaaayyyy to pricey to fix. So that is the story. Again, much of this is my fault, and I am not looking for anything in return other than for you guys to know this happened to me, and it's put me in a very bad spot going forward. I won't be going to yelp screaming or hollering, but I probably won't be back that way either for repairs despite your amazing prices. Sincerely yours, Timothy Brown
