I'm a new transfer student & I haven't started any classes there yet but... OMG. THE WORST COLLEGE EVER! Phone is hardly answered, the rudest staff, counselors are no help. I've made many appointments with different counselors & none help. The appointments are never ASAP, it's 1 or 2 weeks, how dumb is that. I'm helping myself out way more. Besides that they always give the stankest attitude. I ask them questions & they never give the answer and/or always give attitude. If you didn't like your job than why did you sign up for it? I just wanted to know when the start times for the EMT courses are and was not able to get ahold of anybody over the phone and I've been calling all day during business hours. I would give it a one star because I dislike the staff who works in disability support services (DSS). I have autism & I come by a lot of times for help, When it comes to taking a midterm test, Final exam, I couldn't concentrate taking a test in class so I tried to scheduled to take it in a quiet room in DSS and the staff weren't helping me to take my test in the quiet room and they were being so rude to me when it comes to having an misunderstanding conversation, I stutter and stim! I take advantage of the DSS i'll let them know I have autism and they don't feel bad & I start finding a better school for my disability and I decide to go to Fullerton College then rather stay here. read more

This school has the dumbest phone lines ever! Who picks up the calls? I needed to verify that my transcripts got sent to the school. Instead of driving all the way to the campus, I decided to call admissions but instead of getting a direct line I get an automated system that transfers me back and forth from Moreno Valley College phone lines to Riverside College. No matter what button I press the lines keep saying either "Welcome to Moreno Valley College" or "Welcome to Riverside College". Thanks! Now I had to drive to the school just to be told that my documents have not come in when it could have been a 3 minute phone As an update, I went to the admissions office and there were 2 females at the front. One was attending to two other ladies and when I looked through the other window a female sat there listening to the other attendants conversation. When I asked who was in charge of answering the phones, she asked me if I called? I said I have been calling. "I called the number on the schools website!" She told me she didn't receive any calls and when I looked down the phone was off of the receiver laying on the desk!!!! Her excuse was that she was on the phone with a student! How was she helping a student if the phone wasn't even at her ear? How is she intaking students to teach them how to be adults when she can't even do her job and answer the phone?!! My review is solely about the bookstore at the Moreno Valley College. If I could give ZERO stars somehow, I would. This place is a complete mess. There are multiple people who work here, yet no one can help somehow.There is one line that forms in the center of the store, but there are no signs to tell you what the line is for exactly. At the register there are other lines that one would assume you could pick your books up from, however, you cannot if you've purchased your books online. This brings me to the line that is separate from the front registers. This line is apparently where one would stand if you've pre-ordered your books online and need to pick them up. Most people purchase their books this way in hopes of avoiding a long line, since the books are already paid for. However, this is absolutely the slowest line. I waited for 25 min. before someone finally walked up to me and asked me what I needed. I told them I ordered my textbooks online and needed to pick them up. The employee assured me I was standing in the right line so I continued to wait. Apparently, if you want to pick up your textbooks with faster results, I suggest you go in like normal, find your books then and there and stand in the front register line. After a half an hour I FINALLY got my textbooks. Unsure of the young lady's name, but she was wearing glasses and was EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful. Many times she would look at the line and the people in it, never letting anyone know she could help them. I had to walk up to the register and stare a hole into the girl's forehead before ANOTHER girl finally realized I was next and needed to be helped. I have no idea how she has a job with her attitude and inability to help customers. So again, DO NOT purchase your textbooks online to be picked up in the bookstore unless you have 30-45 min. extra to stand in a line that will probably never move, while the staff ignores your presence until they finally feel the need to help out. I don't recommend this college because I don't believe it's a safe place. My sister got her vehicle stolen from this campus on 3/25/19 and they haven't worked with her to try to investigate and review their security cameras. I hope they are able to work with her and provide some leads. Then again, as a female, the campus has to be a safe and a supervised campus. The parking lot must have been unattended for scenarios like this to happen. If crime rises, this will become "normal" news and word of mouth spreads quickly!!! Too many dark spots in the parking lot allowing crime to take place! read more

This college NEVERRR answers there phones, you can't get through to anyone if something is emergent, the only way to reach them is by email and expect a reply in a couple business days. Second of all this college along with many are forcing students to get the vaccine or get dropped. So much for our rights and maintaining a healthy and safe online option. They are requiring daily health updates, and multiple tests to attend classes in person now. These frustrations along with many more is why I don't recommend this school at alll . This is the best of the RCC shcools IMO. It has better parking than Riverside Campus and they are building a Parking structure powered by Solar :) The classes are like at any college, some professors are hard A's while others are really easy. The buildings are mostly new and nice. Decent projectors in every class room. Library is really lacking. Very small, not many titles. Lack of public computers. WiFi is blazing fast. 22mbt up and down. But you have to register for the wifi by first getting a student ID, logging into a public computer. Filling out the form online (which is hard to find and requires obscure info like you Anti-virus and Mac Address) and then wait 24-48 hours for them to approve it. They are also building a new cafeteria. Its nearby a lot of shops and Fast food which is convenient. Its about a 10 minute drive from the 60 and or the 215, which is inconvenient for commuters. read more

They allow high school students to attend classes here, and the Intermediate Algebra class is one of the most instructive math classes my son says he has ever taken. He highly recommends Mr. Drake. read more

I've been calling for over 20mins & the other days I was not able to get ahold of anybody. I work 9AM--5PM MONDAY-FRIDAY. I'm just not a fan. Is this a college or prison life in training facility?The professors here just don't seem to genuinely give a rats anus about what truly matters in higher education. They'd rather nitpick on tardiness and other trivial things. I would rather have a student show up late than miss an entire lecture over being 1 or 2 minutes late. Most professors are part time and this is not their home campus so that may be why their give a crap is low. It's just ... if you wanted to be a prison guard or a high school teacher, then why didn't you sign up for that? With that being said, some of the professors are hard to approach too. This also sucks if you genuinely care about your education & the experience of college. As a student, you'd be better off actually making the effort to drive to Riverside's campus if you wanted a quality education and lectures that not only made sense, but were entertaining too. Sure it's more crowded and classes are harder to get into but there's a reason why! If you want to be treated like you're still 16 and spoken to as if you have no concept of adulthood (despite the fact that not every college student is 18 and fresh out of high school), then this is your place. If you want to be treated with respect and understanding that your life happens outside of the college campus, go elsewhere! It's highly worth it to go sit in classes during the 1st two weeks at RCC to try and add at the last minute because spots almost always open up. There's less of a focus on success at MVC and more of a "get back in line" attitude. I hate it , I'm so glad I only have to stick it out for one semester! As far as the bathrooms they really are disgusting! And the ones near the park over by the Multipurpose room are graffitied up. If you take night classes I would highly recommend going in groups to your car and to the restrooms. That whole side of the campus is dark and who knows what shady people are hanging out there. Cafeteria is okay, it's obviously not a 5 star restaurant. You can tell you're in the ghetto when you have to pay for a soda cup that's tucked behind the cash register rather than being trusted to grab it and be honest enough to pay on your own. Campus overall is obviously newer but a pretty campus doesn't mean a pretty education. read more

First of all, I don't even know if Admissions and Records exists at this school. I've called many times for multiple days in a row as I am a new student who needs some info and has some questions. I've even emailed them several times and have had no response now for over a week after sending my initial email. I am trying to become a successful individual but they are making it very difficult. I am doing this on a friends profile in fear the school will pull my chart and question the student I had. This is probably one of the worst clinics I have ever been to. I have also been a patient at SJVC in Ontario and I would much rather go back there. First the front office lady was very rude. Next the student I had was ok and did what needed to be done. However, the staff was so unprofessional. I had a tall Caucasian women who had a thick build and this woman was so nasty and rude the way she talked to the student. I understand teaching can get frustrating but to do this in front of a patient was absurd to me. My daughter is a teacher and I would hope she would never belittle a student in front of someone else like this women did. I finished my sets of appointments and I will not be coming back. read more

Hello. My son was registered in the EMS program. He did all necessary steps before class began. Which included taking a cpr class, orientation, immunizations, background check and bought a $500 uniform. This was all a lot of time and money.He went to the Moreno Valley financial service and admissions just to make sure all was in order and paid for on Aug. 22. He was ready to start the program on the 27th. On the 24th he was dropped. With the office being closed I called Ben Clark. They advised him to register for a different day. Now he was to start on Wed. Monday the 27th he was dropped again. Aug.28th we went to the financial service office to find out why. They said all was paid for so it wasn't a financial or admissions problem. It was a computer glitch. She said for him to petition the class. He did so on the 28th and was turned away. Now we have an altered $500 uniform. The instructor told him to try again in the winter. After the "computer glitch" how are we insured this won't happen again? Not one single person helped us in the student service building. My son tried to take care of things on his own and they treated him like crap(Ann in financial aid) A horrible person. I went with him 3 other times and still he didn't get in the class. Please everyone who is reading this, find another school. read more
