Upon arrival, I was told my hair type was not really suitable for what I wanted and next time I needed to come in with my hair blow dried if I wanted anything done. She then did an up-do she thought was suitable. It was extremely messy, and I was a kid at the time and extremely discouraged that I didn't have the "right hair". It has been many years since this experience, and I hope this salon has kinder, more welcoming staff now. I unfortunately never recommend this salon anymore.

If you've got curly hair, you know the therapy-requiring trauma haircuts can create. None needed. She got it right. Additionally, she told me what she was doing and why, as she was doing it. I received a lot of product education without a push to buy a thing. In short, a very nice experience, and the prices are more than fair.

The vibe in the studio is chill. One thing I will say I have never been to any upper-class hair Studios however at first it struck me as strange that they stack clients instead of just booking you they kind of titrate and stack clients while my colour is processing. She has another appointment and I guess it leaves more money for the practitioner which is amazing. I don't know that any other place is doing this method I have only ever been to very basic walk-in hair salons so I don't know if this is customary but everything is very orderly and timed here if you arrive on time for your appointment, you will leave on time. Everything runs very smoothly. The staff here is wonderful and very detailed oriented. If you have any hair goals you can definitely get there. They definitely care about you and your hair hair. I will say it is definitely on the more expensive side but you absolutely get what you pay for and all of the products they use in the salon are amazing high-quality products that are good for your hair if you are looking for a salon to invest in yourself and your hair this is the place for you!! I don't know that I would go anywhere else for my hair! I always get her to style my hair too when I get it done I think I come every 6 to 8 weeks and it's worth it to have her style it as well. I look awesome for the next few days also I have given her such vague her instructions because I'm really not sure what I want and she completely nailed it every single time I have never been even a little bit disappointed.

Yesterday, I booked a makeup appointment at Ulta Beauty in Farmington Hills with Kamia B. for my…read moredaughter's graduation makeup. In the appointment notes, I specifically stated that the makeup was for a graduation, and when my daughter sat down in the chair, she also clearly requested a natural look. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The appointment took over an hour, which immediately concerned me because professional makeup applications I've experienced in the past for senior pictures and prom were completed much more efficiently and looked flawless. Instead, my daughter came home with extremely heavy makeup, thick black eyeliner, overly dark brows drawn in with black pencil despite her having brown hair, and a dramatic smoky eye look that was completely inappropriate for the soft, natural graduation look she requested. To make matters worse, the foundation did not match her skin tone at all. She looked extremely washed out in person and in photos. We ended up having to completely wash off her face before graduation and only kept the lashes because the eyeliner was so difficult to remove. I truly do not enjoy leaving negative reviews, especially regarding someone's work, but for a $90 service, I expected much better professionalism, technique, and attention to the client's requests. My daughter should have felt beautiful and confident for such an important milestone, and instead we were left stressed and scrambling to fix the makeup ourselves before graduation. I would recommend going to Ulta for products, but unfortunately I would not recommend booking makeup services with this artist based on our experience.
