20/02/24 My mother's…read moreboiler stopped working called Bryant H+C repair person went by and after paying 129.00 + tax left a 3000.00 quote to repair so I asked why so much you can buy a new one for that amount (repairperson wanted to change controller and thermostat) anyway, salesman came by and I asked if he could quote a new unit which he did the Quote 11,500.00, while visiting I asked for 2 AA batteries which I changed in the thermostat, the display read 1 degree a light went off in my head, I set the proper value and the boiler lit up and has been working for 3 days so far. I can count myself lucky, others who have no ability to repair things would have been dinked 11,500.00 for 2 AA batteries plus would have frozen until the new boiler was installed in February. Buyer Beware, we live in dishonest times, practice due diligence when getting anything done do not take anyone for granted, many companies pay workers commissions when they sell jobs making it tempting for them to inflate the repair which in turn allows them to make more money, it's those who have little money I feel for because they would have to sacrifice their meals in order to heat their home or water pipes would freeze causing even more damage. You never learn enough these days, be very careful out there..

Most of thier call centre employees do not have knowledge on thier products, no listening and customer experience skills. They keep transferring customers to one department to other and other department again transfers back to the one who transferred. It goes on loop every time. Also, one of their plumbers visited my home for service and he misbehaved with me in 2023. I have complained about it then General Manager called me and emailed me to apologize and promised they will take action but I never got any update on that.

We called to have our furnace looked at as we had no heat. When the technician came he said the…read morethere was a major part that needed to be replaced but it was under warrantee. It took several days to get the part in and once it was installed I was handed a bill for $2000. I was told that $500 of that bill was to return the old part to the manufacturer. Upon investigating I found out that the manufacturer covers the cost of returning defective parts under warrantee and this repair should have been around $500 to $600. I requested an itemized bill from them and was told that they don't do that and was ignored when I made further inquiries. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We woke up to no heat, made the call to Handy Brothers and within the next half hour at the least Sheldon arrived to face repairs to a twenty odd year old furnace. Within the next hour, he diagnosed and explained the problem, got the heat running, knowledgeably and efficiently answered all our questions, helped us ( through a low-pressure conversation) choose the best replacement furnace for our home and while waiting to be sure the furnace was going to run efficiently, he put a new switch on the fireplace. Great technician and fantastic service from the phone call to this posting. (They have already called to make arrangements to come measure for the new low energy, high efficiency furnace unit). In all the years we have called on Handy Brothers for their knowledge, expertise, maintenance and purchasing we have never been disappointed. First off, setting up an appt to get a quote was so easy over text. The office mgr is professional, responsive, and always polite. What I especially liked is how Kevin, the owner, double checked whether the old unit could be repaired, provided two quotes (standard and high efficiency), and installed the new Bryant unit. There is no separate sales and installation teams. It was clean, eventless, and done in 4 hours. Another co, recommended by ConsEnergy, gave a quote that was more for a standard unit. The second, smaller 22-year-old AC died the next day!! And what was really amazing is how they sent over Josh within an hour of my text to diagnose and fix that one!! Seriously stellar service.
