Recently had a pest inspection find a high moisture reading behind a shower wall, and noticed our outdoor hot water heater was leaking, so thought it was time to call a plumber. I had in the past used Mooses Plumbing and had a good experience with them, so thought I'd use them again.
I called their phone number on Wednesday afternoon, which appeared to be their office. I told them the two issues that I needed repaired, and she said that a plumber would call me later to organize a time to come. The plumber (Wade) called later that afternoon, and I explained that I needed someone to fix the hot water leak, and to determine if there was a leak in the wall, and repair if necessary. He said that would be fine and organised to come to our house on Monday morning at 8 am.
Monday came, and went, with no plumber coming by, and no phone call to notify us that they were not coming. Thursday morning, when I was at work, the plumber called and asked if he could come by. I told him that I was at work, and asked him what happened on Monday. He apologized and said they were too busy. He reorganized to come on Monday morning again at 8 am.
This time he arrived on Monday at 9 am. He could only fix the hot water leak, and said that he would need to call someone else to do that job. I told him I had requested the services required at the beginning, and that I shouldn't have to pay two separate call out fees, to which his response was "It was always going to be that way". They charged me $203 to fix a hot water leak and now I have to call someone else to detect and fix the possible leak.
I am unhappy with their timeliness, and communication skills in keeping their customers informed about the services they provide, and the associated call out fees. I would not recommend Mooses Plumbing. read more
