I came in January and it was very crowded, mostly with Dutch and Americans. Inside was packed, but the waiters were doing their best and the beer was good. I guess they tout that they are expensive for bars in Austria. It cost about 6 euros for a beer and similar for a shot of Jaeger. At one point they started blowing bubbles, which added to the fun ambiance. The music was a bit chaotic but definitely catchy, and can be heard from down the street. We had lunch here twice and went in around 2:30 - which was great because then we had a table for when the apres started! On Tuesday we didn't need a reservation but on Friday we were barely able to get a table at 2:30. I'd recommend making a reservation on Friday for lunch if you want a good spot for apres ski. But on Friday, we sat in the back room (which had gorgeous views)! The food was very good - we enjoyed the fall off the bone ribs, the burger, the chicken wings & especially the hot chocolate! I really wasn't expecting much from this famous or shall I say infamous apres ski spot where plenty of partying has been had and plenty of apres ski shenanigans has occurred. I mean what can you expect from a loud party spot that is the spot to be starting at 3pm as ppl start skiing down that sick run ready to drink and dance naked on tables? Not a whole lot! LOL. This is the prime example of a "ya can't judge a book by its cover ". After a rough morning up top with the boys and many tough runs with low visibility...our ski squad was spent and in desperate need of some fuel at 2pm. Heck last we ate was brekkie at the hotel at 7:30. We popped into this resto for a quick bite not expecting much. Just a few beers, some chocolate chaud and some wings perhaps. Boy were we fooled!! First of all, they have an excellent draft beer selection. I am not even a beer drinker but the boys were living their drafts. I had chocolate chaud with a dash of rum. LOVELY!! We got an order of the wings, the ribs and a Goulash. The wings were not your typical wings. Whatever the wings were marinated in was really good! It was crispy and thin skinned not greasy. The ribs were huge and also super flavorful. The Goulash I wasn't expecting much from but that really blew us away. We ordered one expecting it to be small but it came in a huge bowl and enough for 4 to share. Super Hearty and full of Chunky of meat and veggies and potatoes. Service was fantastic. I would def not hesitate coming back here for lunch next time on the slopes. It's not rowdy during lunch but once the apres ski folks start rolling in, it gets crazy but a fun kinda crazy. My husband and I have been here thrice, twice for lunch and once for apres ski. The food is very good but the price tag reflects the portion size which is far, far, too large for any single person to consume. During our last visit, I ordered the spaghetti bolognese which tasted exactly as I wanted it to though it is not spaghetti bolognese as defined because there were no carrots or celery or whatever other veg tidbits go into bolognese. It was simply a meat sauce which I was more than happy to eat! My husband ordered the ribs, which, again, was a giant portion. Service is great at MooserWirt and though we have been here for apres ski, we have yet to last past 5pm, so have not experienced the late night party that persists well into the night. read more

We went here around 3:30pm for Apres ski on a bad visibility day and even though the slopes were fairly quiet, the Moosewirt was already rocking! It was already packed inside and despite the steadily falling snow, the outside area was getting filled up as well. The drinks are good and come fairly fast but this place is all about the party and the people watching. You must go here for apres ski! It is part of the St. Anton experience! read more
