What a magical place. Wonderful family suites with the perfect layout. Bedroom for mom and dad and a bunk room for the kids. All with jaw-dropping views of the alps. You can get a full-board stay and have all three meals at the Moosalm and the food is terrific. Wander just a few steps (literally) outside, and there's a great playground with a zipline and a petting zoo. A leisurely 1-minute walk away and you're at an alpine coaster which whips down the ski runs and leaves you wanting more. (Take the gondola back up for another run.) Or, 1- minute in another direction and you're at a fabulous ropes course with numerous courses good for 4-year olds on up to advanced climbers. Or, walk right out the door to a number of hiking trails. We opted to just play with the kids on the huge wildflower-coated alpine hillside. Can it get any better than this? I don't think so. We expected to use the Moosalm as a base to explore this area of Austria. There's a great little castle just down the hill and some awesome Roman ruins nearby. But, my kids never wanted to leave all of the fun things the hotel had to offer. It's still easily their favorite place in Europe. read more
