If you wanna do some serious rowing/kayaking this is the place to be…read more It's the regatta field built for Munich's Olympic Games and it's still up and running. What I like about this artificial basin is that the water is crystal clear and you may as well swim in it if nobody is doing sports (although officially forbidden, you know German's love for regulations). The basin sides offers endless space for picnics and there's even a beach bar mixing up drinks and beach volley courts. It's a great (and not overcrowded) place for a day out, not only if you're into water sports.

So easy to go to Salzburg, The Eagle's Nest and Berchtesgaden and Neuschwanstein, Linderhof & Oberammergau from this bus stop. I highly recommend doing tours to explore the area around Munich.
