Went to this office twice. Twice to many. Fake staph for a small town. Not to mention the cake topper, when the manager or hygienist came into the lobby AREA (full of patients) with a full report of my teenage sons poor brushing habits, REALLY? Like are you kidding me right now? AND HE'S NEVER HAD A CAVITY! One would think, asking mom to come back to the room for a more private talk would be the first rule in etiquette behavior, considering my sons shyness that was devastating. Dr. Yash would have never done that and his staph were THE BEST! (Of course they were all locals). Every person going for their routine dental cleaning don't want a salesman for a dentist. Definitely not a personable feeling for small town people. It's like a big box store that runs people thru like cattle. TAKE care of people's teeth! Listen to their concerns and remember you put your pants on the same way as all the people you aim to serve, come down a few notches you are in Batavia, Ohio remember that. Called over a month ago and submitted paperwork for my daughter's wisdom teeth removal. Was told multiple times they would get back to me but they never did. I was told my insurance was only accepted at one office in Blue Ash but not the one in Batavia. Called Blue Ash and they had no idea who I was and I was told to call Batavia. In the end, they told me they don't accept either of my insurance policies, which would've been great to know 30 days ago. Now my daughter is still in pain and we have to start over with a new provider. Would never consider going there and will recommend all my family and friends to avoid like the plague. ​ read more

Kelsey did my cleaning and worked with me (because I have a pretty severe gag reflex) and gave me the most comprehensive and relaxing experience I've ever had at a Dentist. I have been to Moorehead Family Dentistry for a crown replacement and cleaning. The care I received was excellent by front office staff, dentists and their care staff. I recently received a bill for over $200 for my cleaning when it should have been covered by insurance. After speaking with the office staff I was informed that they billed my insurance for a comprehensive exam and cleaning. I had a comprehensive exam with my prior dentist earlier in the year so that exceeded my insurance. As a patient I do not know what is included in a cleaning which is what I scheduled. According to Moorehead, they will only do a cleaning for the first time if a comprehensive exam is done also. I did not know this and it wasn't explained to me or I could have simply waited 8 weeks for that cleaning so that it would have been covered by insurance at the beginning of this year. I called the office and they did reduce the bill for the x-rays but there is still a balance. I will not be going back due to this. read more

I am sharing the experiences I have had with the Batavia office and I'm sure there will be either a warm and fuzzy response from the "Office Manager" or a response "defending" the actions of her and her staff. Believe whatever you wish but, whatever you believe, how they truly handle their business is terrible, at least with me it has been eye opening and appalling. First appointment was good, new patient, get a T-shirt, warm & fuzzy feeling. They even hand you a card with instructions on how to leave a Google review for them, hence all of the 5 star reviews mostly from first visits. Eventually, when it came down to things moving along, the unprofessional office staff was the worst. You feel ganged up on, belittled, especially by the office manager. You can have your insurance card in your hand and pulled up on your phone and a crowd of office staff are standing there telling you they can't verify your insurance the morning of your appointment to get major work done. When they realize they were wrong, I get put in a chair and my x-rays were GONE. A new dentist comes along and 3-4 other "people" (I don't know their titles or who they were) were in and out of the room telling me, let's move past all of this. The "RUDE" dentist looks in my mouth and "scrape" scratch" "tear"...VERY ROUGH! She doesn't like it when I say "ouch"! After 1.5 hours of being in the chair she decides they need a new plan. The entire time staff was coming in and out to convince me to move past the experience I already had. Later..much later after things got worse, getting in or a call back was not easy. I had a talk with the not so professional "Office Manager" to tell her all of my concerns about how I didn't want to see the previous dentist, and how I've been treated. Instead of using all of this info as a learning or coaching tool, she was very defensive and unprofessional. Needless to say, my most recent experience there with the latest dentist has been less than comfortable. He makes you feel like an idiot when you ask questions and looks at you like you have 10 heads...very uncomfortable. Does Dr. Moorehead know all of this is going on? Does he know that when a patient has concerns or isn't happy about a situation or is in pain that his Office Manager treats them like she doesn't care? Does he know that his laid back Dentist acts like he is above his patients and acts like you are bothering him when ask too many questions? Does Dr. Moorehead know how his Office Manager and staff interact with some patients? They can type all the notes they want to, it doesn't mean that is true. Your "good" reviews are not always going to carry you. I hope Dr. Moorehead realizes and investigates what goes on in his office, if he even cares. I hope someone reads this and thinks twice before entrusting their dental services to this Batavia office. I'm out. read more

The décor of the office helps with anxiety, it's made to feel more like a family room and it's nicely decorated with two toy bins that are clean and organized. The area is quaint and nicely decorated. Everytime I have arrived for an appointment there is only myself or one other person and one of us is called back almost immediately. I love the fact that they don't overbook. Nothing makes anxiety worse when you are waiting than having to sit in a crowded room. I have never had to wait more than five minutes to be taken to the exam room when I arrive. Dr. Moorehead and his staff were all friendly and they took the time to listen. I never felt rushed out of the chair. They made sure that any questions I had were answered, that I understood what to expect during and after my procedure, and the steps that would follow in the coming weeks. They offered to do my procedure the day of my consultation, I declined because of anxiety and wanted the weekend to get in the right headspace but the fact that they offered spoke volumes. I've never had an issue and they were honest in the fact that there would be adjustments I'd have to make, they didn't sugarcoat that everything would be easy for me. This was awesome because I was able to get through the process knowing that many other people have been through it too and they said that things would get better and it has. After every appointment they would remind me to call if I needed anything or had any questions. I really cannot thank Dr. Moorehead and his staff enough, they took a situation that I dreaded for years and made it as easy for me as they could. I highly recommend! read more
