We found two abandoned and neglected dogs wandering on the highway nearly hit by speeding cars several times. Thankfully we were able to get them to safety. The folks at Moore Humane Society were absolute angels. They met me after hours and took these two cuties in. I hope they weren't abandoned by their owners but by the looks of them, sadly that is likely the case. I know the fate of most dogs who are dealt with by animal control and traditional shelters and I didn't want blood on my hands. After what we went through getting them off the highway I really wanted to make sure these guys stood a chance. Moore Humane is a No Kill shelter, meaning they will do what it takes to bring friendly dogs to health and find them their forever homes. If you are reading this and looking for a new family member (cats, kittens, dogs) please support this worthy organization. They are life savers, literally!

Wow this place is amazing. If you live in the area, your dog likes other dogs, and you like…read morechatting with super friendly people, then this is the place for you! Fiancee and I were in town for a wedding and had little Zo with us for the weekend and she desperately needed a place to get some energy out. I searched for a dog park in the area and this was the only fenced one that I could find. We had a bit of trouble finding it, but the directions on Yelp are quite accurate, don't rely on Google's directions. We happened to walk in right as someone else was leaving (hence how we were able to make it in), as this place is a gated community (i.e. you need an access code to get in.) I think this is a great idea. They have a great park that is well kept all because people contribute a small amount a year (I believe the membership fee is $30). They have an application process and require immunizations, basically keeping out dogs that shouldn't be playing with others. We had a great conversation with the people who started the park. They were all quite friendly, even though we were a party-crasher. If I lived in this area, I would 100% be a member of this park!

Paid membership to this park, about $30 a year. Positives to that- Coded lock to the main gate…read morekeeps the riffraff out. & All the dogs have to prove current immunizations which is nice. I used to go to Martin Park off Commerce near Walmart in So Pines, which is pretty and has a nice creek. But, there were some dogs that were aggressive or poorly behaved. Dogs actually jumped on me and other people, and the owners did nothing to stop it! Not cool to leave muddy as a human. Dawned on me there was also nothing to stop people from bringing in dogs with no immunizations or with disease either.. So,, I decided to look Into other options and discovered pooch in the pines. What's nice is since everyone pays to be there, we police ourselves. Poop is picked up promptly and badly behaved dogs are peer pressured into an early departure. Ahh,, nice peaceful dog playground. There's also plenty of fresh water, plumbing, even a little kiddie pool, tennis balls and poo-bag stations. Downsides- not as big a community as Martin Park, so sometimes I get there and there are no other dogs. Some people may like that though,, and my dog gets off leash time, which he loves, so I guess it's not so bad!

Very little staff to help, and some of the floor staff are very rude…read more The dog training is HORRIBLE. Do not take your dog there. I paid for an hour assessment. And was treated so rude and disrespectful. I was "crate shammed" because my husband and I do not believe in putting our dog in a cage. She told me my dog was not going to mind until I put her in a cage. I have had dog before, just never a lab, and I was seeking some help with training as she was not responding to my other trained way of teaching. She gave me a clicker with a couple of very confusing instructions and my hour was over. She spent most of the time with her daughter who was in the store and their dog, I was not even able to get any additional information about future training classes. She said look up any additional information on line if I want more information class over and she was not going to give me any help. I will never go back to this store for training or help again. It was a waste of my time and money. There are other local training classes around. Just do not use PetSmart.

Honestly, it feels like a rip-off. I made the appointment for a bath and haircut for $60, and then…read morethey added extra fees for taking more time even though they set the time themselves. On top of that, they charged a "special handling" fee? My 7-lb dog is super gentle and totally used to grooming, so charging an extra $30 without notice just doesn't seem fair. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this place. I'll be looking for another groomer.
