Have taken my kids here a few times over the last few years due to sports injuries, mt bike…read moreinjuries etc. The doctors there are great and I would recommend this facility if you are a local. The main reason I suggest being a local is because if you need to get ahold of anyone in the office, you'll need to just go there in person. I wouldn't suggest calling unless you have some sort of fetish of sitting on hold for eternity. Once you get there they are very helpful....... Now that you have your appointment and your ready to get seen next month, you are on your way to feeling great again. NOW... don't think for one second that you got to bypass the on hold thing just because you live in town. Once you get to your appointment next month and you have a seat in this very spacious waiting room, take a look around. You will notice there will be 1 maybe 2 people ahead of you, at this moment you think to yourself ( this will be quick) lol. This is the point where you will get to wait somewhere between 1-1 1/2 hours till someone brings you to the examination room, but don't worry the fun doesn't stop there. Once in the room you will get to wait at least another 30 to 45min. If you need to get some shopping done or feel like going to a nice sit down restaurant while you wait, just run up stairs check in and go do your thing, you will have plenty of time

Did some research on orthopedic surgeons and Dr. Gray popped up…read more Researched him and learned he is part of the Stryker Team (means nothing as it means he uses their products because they are ethical in their manufacture of products) and has been for quite some time. I was interviewing multiple doctors and he was just one of a few. He answered all my questions and they were extensive. He took the time to explain the procedure and what approach he was going to take. What recovery would look like and all the complications from a major surgery. His compassion was evident and he did not pressure me to chose him. I visited the other doctors and Dr. Richard Grey stood heads and shoulders above them all. I just had the first of two procedures, the procedure went as planned and a good prognosis is indicated. So when it comes time for the second surgery I have no doubt Dr. Gray will be as successful. Again if you need an orthopedic surgeon check Dr. Richard Gray out.

Im aware Dr. Gray is an excellent surgeon but the people managing his Gig Harbor office at the front desk are really awful.

WARNING: If you want to live an everyday life after…read moresurgery, I strongly recommend not coming here. If you do NOT want any of these problems, find a different surgeon: Misrepresentations made and cover-up with outright untruths placed in your chart. Inner system email communications were deleted. Then an added procedure you have not been spoken about beforehand, with surgery to take 4 hours and not the 90 minutes you are told to expect? Mid-thigh severe pain to walk, and most nights lay awake from pain from thigh to foot. Told this was my life forever. Being told no one would ever want to touch this leg of the mess that was left in this leg. Complications of severe blood clots but not diagnosed or treated, and I had to find another doctor to help because all suspicious complaints pointed at blood clots, but did he care? No. This surgeon did not respond with continual complaints of a hot leg and excessive swelling reported by myself for months. He saw himself, Home Health nursing care/PT that had to be ordered by another doctor when this one forgot, even after being reminded to do so. When blood pressure was extremely high, this one did not return calls out of control pain levels and a possible stroke at the blood pressure numbers. Still, no call. Damage to lymph nodes during surgery, having to live in a compression suit every day for 3 hours, and a PERMANENT new medical problem. NEVER DISCUSSED as a possibility! Having to purchase $5,000 therapy equipment to try to improve the condition, a recommendation from Lymphologist after buying a $600 recumbent bike recommended by the surgeon but could never be used due to the swelling being so severe the knee could not be bent. . A knee that still has problems over two years later and will not pedal a circle from restricted motion. ALL due to errors of not being treated for swelling, clots, or precautions taken after surgery, like the compression wraps. CPM was not used--nothing was done to safeguard against clots. Forced to buy clothes until this fluid eases off, if ever! Weight gain 23 pounds of fluid in the first week after surgery in the leg spreading all over, with fluid pushing open the skin and weeping fluid. The pain never quits, but this surgeon tells you it's illegal to prescribe pain meds after three months, even with all these complications. BTW: That is not the truth! Sores in the surgical area; deep pain that lingered for over two years and told it would NEVER END; Small round nodules under the skin all around the knee to the front and inside knee. They are painful, and no one knows what they are, but they are multiplying. TOLD AT DISCHARGE BY THIS SURGEON NEVER TO GO TO THE ER. -even if he does not return frantic calls; OR wants A SURGEON THAT DOES NOT REMEMBER to order PT or Home Health Care-OR, changing his mind about that care, leaving you without help; Both happened with this surgeon. IF YOU DO NOT WANT A SURGEON who forgets to re-wrap the leg hours after removing it to check on excessive pain; or fails to protect you with compression wraps, hose, or take any SWELLING AND CLOT Precautions to protect you from blood clots and blames you for the clots...OR FORCED TO INJECT WARFARIN for a year for the clots your surgeon brought to your life. Or develop hematomas in your arm and breast from the warfarin (photo of arm but breast worse) and be told by a vascular doctor. IF YOU FALL AND HIT YOUR HEAD, YOU WILL DIE!! This was a surgery from Hell....ALL I WANT IS TO FEEL WELL WITHOUT MORE PAIN THAN BEFORE THIS SURGEON TOUCHED ME. IF YOU WANT TO LIVE LIKE THIS ........THEN HE IS YOUR SURGEON. GOOD LUCK

Stay away from this surgeon. He did a total revision on my left knee three years ago, and it's…read morenever been the same. I had a problem with the replacement wearing out but he has left me with multiple complications no other orthopedic surgeon wants to touch. If I could rate him less than a one star I would. He lied to me the first day we met but I didn't find out what the truth was until much later. He's not your ticket for complicated surgeries as a revision. Be warned and see him at your own risks. Blood clots and having to take injections for a year for Warfarin with all its side effects, is the least of my complications he left me with. My leg won't bend and now has what looks like growths a marble size all around the inside section of my knee and thigh. I pray every day it won't ever lead to an amputation as I could not bear that at my age. Thanks to him I spend almost two hours every day in a compression suit with major complications if I don't. Dr. Holmes took from me my life's precious time that I will never get back. He moved now from the hospital in Gig Harbor Washington to parts unknown but hopefully this review follows him everywhere. He should not be a surgeon. I tried to make him listen I was in trouble but he instead assumed I may be drug seeking lying saying after three months it was illegal to dispense drugs. I had a painful clot in my knee for weeks at that time and moving upward but he did not even order an ultra sound. It took another doctor to recognize the symptoms I had from day 1 following surgery even though Home Health care had reached out to him when I was so sick and swollen so bad from the raging clot but their call fell on deaf ears with no return calls. Oh, his last words before discharging me were to my husband and I telling us no matter what happens not to go to the ER for any reason. Why would he have ever made such a statement? Was it because he knew it was a bad surgery or that they had forgotten to put my leg in support hose but instead put it in a brace with no protection guarding my surgery incision but instead with a only a brace that was too big and kept falling off? Lots never explained. He did boast he had notched my femur which is contradicted by orthopedic surgeons everywhere for diabetic patients. If Mr. Dr Holmes shows up in your neighborhood and you can, run like hell. I wish I had checked him out better. Good luck.

I have went through two extended injury rehabs and currently about half way through the third, rotator cuff surgery, with these wonderful people. I have spent a lot of time with, and gotten to know, all of the three PTs and the support staff. Every one of them actually care about my success and treat me like was the most important patient they have. Truth be told, I'm just another burned out 76 year old has been athlete who used up his body in his youth. I have no regrets, and I seriously recommend you consider these professionals for your needs! Cameron, Maria, and Brittany REALLY know their stuff. Each one has been a blessing for me.

My fiancee is stationed at JBLM and needs to continue his PT. He called this place after finding this place through his insurance he gave them a call and interrogated them, which is his standard procedure. His first impression? The receptionist picked up and sounded confident, a plus in his books. Well the result of that call is that he became a patient! He has been here about 6 times. He comes in, signs in and doesn't even get a chance to sit down as they already call him in! The only person who is ever in the waiting room for more than 2 minutes is me! I've seen multiple different patients come in and they are all treated the same. The ladies are kind and courtesy and have a bond with each patient. They are even kind to me, offering me coffee on some days. And they spend about 1.5 hours with my fiancee, who is recovering from a rotator cuff surgery. They give him a heated massage in the beginning and towards the end make him do exercises in their exercise room, which has a couple of flat beds, weights, a lat pull down machine, stair stepper, treadmill and other equipment. They take therapy seriously! Parking is a breeze, restrooms don't need keys, scheduling is simple. I and he have no conplaints about this place. They even have a fresh newspaper and ample magazines! I truly hope more people come to this office. Be on the lookout for his review!
