Their breads looked great (ciabatta, french country, pullman seeded, baguettes, and best looking to me roasted garlic asiago), but we passed on them this go around. I'll snag one on the next visit along with their chicken pot pie. Some notes from what I bought: The Bavarian style pretzels were good, a bit on the stale side. At $5 a piece I'd pass next time unless fresh. The chocolate chip cookies were $4 a piece, huge and delicious. Regular pork bacon $13lb was delicious with a light touch of smoke. Hot Italian Sausage $13lb went well with a spaghetti dinner. The heat was just right. Eggs - $9 a dozen. I bought a dozen pullet eggs - notes on the carton "Pullet eggs come from our new flock of laying hens and are only around for the spring months, While smaller, they are more nutrient dense and have brighter yolks." They were tasty. We had fun watching my youngest walk and talk with the chickens, but weren't able to see the pigs or rabbits. The smell of the wood burning oven baking fresh pizza shells was nice along with the fresh country air. The shop is small, but they had the freezers filled with different cuts of meat (beef, pork, chicken didn't see rabbit) and coolers/shelves filled with locally made pantry items (jams, honey, syrup, olive oils, coffee). You can also buy gift cards and shirts/hats. I'll repeat to try more items when in the area again. Thanks guys!

I first heard about Appleridge on an app called TooGoodToGo. I visited their farm stand at…read moreWrightstown Farmers Market twice. The first week the products were a bit gummy but I have an interest in 100% rye sourdough so I thought it might be a rye problem. The second week the products were better, lighter and less gummy. So there appears to be a quality issue. I also decided to try my hand at making rye sourdough so I asked about purchasing some starter as it is for sale on their website. I was told it was $10 and I had to pay at the stand and order online and pick up the following week...this coming Saturday. I foolishly gave my $10 with no receipt as it was end of day for them. When I went online to attempt to place the order it was not possible to complete as I was advised. I reached out via email and a woman named Christine responded and apologized for the misinformation. She then proceeded to tell me the starter costs $15...even though the website today states $10. I wish Yelp allowed pictures as I have a picture of the webpage with the price in my phone as of today. Now I am doubting a lot more about this company.

They also have home made pies which are reasonable and very good. The store is jam packed with locally produced jams, jellies, salsa's, and awesome honey. During the fall they have apples by the basket and have in season produce all year along with a deli counter with cheese and bacon. If you like peanuts, home made peanut butter, and fresh pickles you will be happy here too. The people who work here are great and l have never had a bad experience.....always asking if you need anything and are helpful if you ask. They also make yard furniture which I have never bought but looks very nice. I always like to support locally owned businesses and Marshall's has been here forever and will continue to get my business whenever I am in the area.

I could have taken a gallon on the road with me, but not sure how that would have kept. So I looked around and went with a fresh-baked cinnamon roll and some fresh-made scrapple. Yup. They make scrapple here. That's pretty cool. Not cool? I asked for a half pound. I got closer to a pound. The lady (owner?) gave me a blank look when I asked for less. Because she couldn't mold it back into the loaf or something. I ended up going with it but she should have accommodated and given me what I asked for. Scrapple was the best you'll find this far out of scrapple country. Roll was delicious. My friend enjoyed his homemade pumpkin crumb cake. Other products, I wouldn't bother. A lot of their branded products are overpriced. I asked about their (homemade?) pecans and she said "price is on the bottom of each jar". Actually, a lot of jars were missing the price. So we've got some consistency issues here. I would classify this as a boutique market, a nice little stop if you have a craving, but I wouldn't make this a regular stop. (Sadly, if only they kept up with their cider doughnuts through midday, my review may have ended differently.)
