Not bad for the BMV, all in all…read more Wanted an ID for Kid K. You need to bring a fair amount of paperwork, plus the kid. Checked in online, easy and efficient. Tell them when you get there, they text you to wait in the car and then when to come in. When I started it said the wait was 45 minutes; total was probably a little less than that, so don't check in super early. Waited inside for 15 or so after they texted to come in. Clerk was friendly and patient. Pretty much like getting a license: some questions, you sign and the kid signs, then gets a picture. A week or two later it will come in the mail. Not bad, and not a horrible wait or experience as far as these things go.

My favorite location in Columbus! It was time to renew my driver's license. I checked in online…read moreand drove up from downtown (15-17 mins). I chose to go here as I always have a good experience at this location. Tags and registration I am not so picky about but for drivers licenses, this is the place to go based on my N/S/E and downtown BMV experiences. As I pulled in the plaza, I confirmed on the phone and walked in. As I was walking in the door my number was called. The longest part was the eye exam and complementing the documents. Friendly agent. No issues with the task and picture was taken with a backdrop and not some web cam on the counter. I was in and out in 15 mins or less. Your times may very but it's a sold choice for the Ohio BMV in Franklin County. BMV location - Franklin County DR #2586 is located at 112 Dillmont Dr., Columbus, Ohio off US-23 North in a nice strip mall plaza above I-270 (outer-belt) and near Lazelle Rd. This location has also been known as the Worthington License Agency though it's above Worthington and probably closer to Lewis Center. All kinds of food options in the area and close to Polaris if you want to grab some food and do some shopping too.

What a cute area in Ohio! I stumbled upon this area when searching for things to do on Yelp. When I…read morewas planning to visit, I did not have any particular place in mind to visit; I just planning to stroll and pop into places if they looked enticing. We had our dog with us so we did not do an abundance of walking around. From what I saw, there were no places that welcomed pets in the businesses. It makes sense and it was no biggie, I just did not spend as much time as I would have if pets were welcome. I stopped into what I thought was a deli but more like a restaurant with a counter, hoping to purchase goodies for home. There are several stores for shopping, which were fun to browse. I only purchased some chocolates in a candy store, which apparently were made in house. I definitely want to visit here again with more research.

This is a lovely historic neighborhood just a couple miles south of downtown Columbus. If you have…read morea free afternoon and the weather is nice, it's well worth a visit to Schiller Park (dog-friendly with benches) which has a garden and statue dedicated to the German poet Schiller. I took COTA Bus #5 from downtown Columbus (Ohio Statehouse) and explored the area just north of the park. The brick houses and cobblestone alleyways provide a glimpse of life in the 1880s and early 1900s when this area became a central hub for the German-American community. I don't think there are too many kid-friendly activities or museums nearby - but it makes a pleasant excursion if you're stuck at the Convention Center for a conference in downtown Columbus. Street parking looked a bit challenging. If Bus #5 is running slow on your return trip from the German Village back to the downtown area (it can be up to a 30 minute wait if you just missed the last bus), consider taking an Uber/Lyft taxi instead.
