Having seen many body-workers for all types of conditions for the last 30 years, I am very picky. I could tell right away that Tom was outstanding. He was highly focused and approached my treatment with a slow, methodical technique, working some very contracted muscles in my neck. Despite the pain I was in, I immediately felt at ease as soon as he began his work. After just one session, my pain was reduced by about 60%, and by the second session, it was completely gone. He is the best body-worker I have found in the Santa Cruz area. I can't recommend him enough!

LILY!!! Can one love someone after one visit? Well I would argue yes…read more I sought out Lily because I had been experiencing sharp pain in my upper back, under one of my shoulder blades. It had gotten worse over the weeks, and the muscle spasm spread to where I had difficulty moving my head and turning my body. I tried stretching and massaging it myself. I tried tools and massage devices. I asked friends for help. I tried ice and heat. I tried medicine and rest. Nothing worked. The pain got worse and my movement got increasingly restricted. (Hear the violin playing yet?! Lol) I am on a tight budget so I was trying to hold out, but finally I chose to prioritize health and wellness, so I researched several physical therapists and massage therapists, and Lily stood out to me. And holy guacamole, Lily did such an excellent job in our 1 hour session... I think she is a magician! I've been to massage therapists where I felt worse after... or felt nothing at all (as if they just rubbed lotion on me). No exaggeration, I was able to move my neck after my massage!!! The following day, all of my pain and muscle spasms were gone. Finito! It was incredible. This meant I could get back to my life because now I could move. Lily did that. Lily understands Body Work really well, she is professional and attentive to your needs, and she is a chill person. I really enjoyed working with her!

In September 2025, I contacted Antoinette, the owner of Divine Massage and Skin, to book 3 massage appointments for mid-October. The plan was to have her come to the Seascape resort, where she was doing the massages in suite. Her policy was to pay in full upon booking any services, which I did via credit card ($635). Unfortunately, our trip was cancelled. So I contacted Anoinette via text to notify her & request a refund well within the cancelation window. She promptly replied & said the refund would show up within 7-14 days. After waiting that timeframe & seeing no refund, I contacted Antoinette again to inquire on the status of it. She said her accountant had dropped the ball & she would do it right away. Within 5 minutes (not 7-14 days), I had a pending credit on my card statement. After a few days, that pending credit dropped off & did not finalize. So I contacted her again, and she said it was out of her hands. She could not re-issue the credit & there was nothing she could do. She told me to dispute the charge with my credit card company & she would approve it right away. So I did, and after a few more weeks passed, my credit card company reached back out to us saying the business was refusing the dispute. The business told them that she had provided services & that she owed me nothing. Not true. Then, the business owner said she had already sent me a partial credit & that we were square. All lies. Once I provided the entire text conversation between myself & Antoinette to the credit card company, they swiftly ruled in our favor. It took over 2 months to get my money back.
