In September 2025, I contacted Antoinette, the owner of Divine Massage and Skin, to book 3 massage appointments for mid-October. The plan was to have her come to the Seascape resort, where she was doing the massages in suite. Her policy was to pay in full upon booking any services, which I did via credit card ($635). Unfortunately, our trip was cancelled. So I contacted Anoinette via text to notify her & request a refund well within the cancelation window. She promptly replied & said the refund would show up within 7-14 days. After waiting that timeframe & seeing no refund, I contacted Antoinette again to inquire on the status of it. She said her accountant had dropped the ball & she would do it right away. Within 5 minutes (not 7-14 days), I had a pending credit on my card statement. After a few days, that pending credit dropped off & did not finalize. So I contacted her again, and she said it was out of her hands. She could not re-issue the credit & there was nothing she could do. She told me to dispute the charge with my credit card company & she would approve it right away. So I did, and after a few more weeks passed, my credit card company reached back out to us saying the business was refusing the dispute. The business told them that she had provided services & that she owed me nothing. Not true. Then, the business owner said she had already sent me a partial credit & that we were square. All lies. Once I provided the entire text conversation between myself & Antoinette to the credit card company, they swiftly ruled in our favor. It took over 2 months to get my money back.
