If they treat their customers the way they treat their employees, then I wouldn't use them if they were the last limo company on the planet. Drivers are expected to be professional and provide the utmost service. Yet when it comes to paying them they fall way short of the same. Professionalism. Nothing short of the shadiest back alley when it comes to pay. They will pocket money that should go directly to the drivers and use that as payment for their base pay. We live in a technical banking world. Having drivers wait days after an event to get tips that should have been handed out at the conclusion of the event is unacceptable. we live in a Venmo/ paypal. DID NOT PICK ME UP ON WEDDING DAY MORNING - HORRID CUSTOMER SERVICE. I never do this but... I had a horrendous experience with this company. On my wedding day morning, the rolls royce I booked to pick me up at my home was about 10 minutes late. I called the service number and was put on hold to see what was going on. After about 10 minutes, she answered again to verify my address info (which they should've had, as i called to confirm twice the day prior). I was then put on hold again for 25 MINUTES - I asked the lady to please not put me on hold again, as I had to make a decision fast to get to my ceremony. SHE DID IT AGAIN AND NEVER ANSWERED OR RETURNED MY PHONE CALL. CAR DID NOT SHOW. It has been 3 days and I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD BACK or received a refund. I was told Moonlight subcontracts other companies to use their cars - luckily, the limo driver that they subcontracted for me (which did actually show up) had a friend who drove me to my reception in a Rolls out of the kindness of his heart. Things happen, I get it - but the horrendous customer service, failure to inform me of what was going on or have the decency to call me and apologize for the issue, and failure to even respond to me by now and give me my money back is the reason for this review. I will be sure that no good friend of mine ever uses this company. Oh - and they had the audacity to send me an email to leave a positive review for the car service i booked to the airport for our honeymoon, even though they've been avoiding all other forms of contact. If I could give zero stars, I honestly would. When my now husband booked Moonlight for the shuttle service for our wedding, I thought they were on the more expensive side but assumed that a higher price would translate to better service. And since a bunch of important family members were on the shuttle, I figured it was worth it. It wasn't, and I wish we had never even contacted them. Although there was a ton of communication with the company in advance about schedules, pick-up times, and the presence of the groom's parents and grandma on the shuttle, the driver was 20+ minutes late picking up our guests at the hotel. He was clearly in no rush, wasn't apologetic about the time, and didn't even seem to realize that the digital clock on the shuttle was 20+ minutes slow. In today's digital age that's ridiculous. This caused a ton of stress before our ceremony and ultimately lead to us starting the ceremony more than half an hour late. It got worse from there. He drove so slowly getting to our reception that our limo, which was scheduled to leave 15 minutes after the shuttle, beat all our hotel guests to cocktail hour. Our entire reception timeline was destroyed by all the delays from this company, and the rest of our vendors had to bend over backward to help adjust. But perhaps the most egregious, and embarrassing, part? They were 30 minutes late to pick up guests at the end of the night, even though we were paying for them to be parked in a large parking lot directly across the street (they weren't there). I had 40+ guests waiting outside for 30 minutes for the shuttle to appear, which was a horrible last impression to leave them with. It took so long that a few guests actually Ubered to the hotel. While we were waiting my new husband and I did everything we could to get ahold of the driver or the company, to no avail. They send you a day of email with information about the driver, but the cell phone number provided was just the company's main number, which isn't answered at night. For a company that prides itself in customer service, and clearly does many evening events, this is unacceptable. I had at first hoped to not write a review, but we reached out to the company and haven't heard back. That lack of caring was the final straw, and I hope no other brides book this company, as the potential for extra stress is just too high, and they don't even appear to care. I'm honestly shocked they have so many 5-star reviews, and maybe this was an off day for them, but I would expect if that were the case they'd be more willing to reach out to us after the fact. I wouldn't recommend anyone risk one of the most important days of their life on this company, you might get lucky and have no issues, but if you do have a problem? Good luck. They're unreliable, and clearly can't be trusted to provide any kind of support if things do go wrong. read more

The people are a bunch of tools and you will NOT get what you pay for.*** Hi Gary, I'm following up with you to inform you of some serious issues that happened on April 10th that I think you should be aware of. For starters, I never complain about anything, but the experience we had with Moon Light Limo was horrible and someone needs to hear about it. The drivers were both rude and disrespectful to me, my husband, our parents and the entire bridal party. Not only were they late, but when the Navigator arrived, one of the drivers actually walked up to us in Hoboken while taking pictures, stepped ON my dress, and started to yell at my bridal party because it was "time to go". At first, we had NO idea who the man was until someone asked him. He finally identified himself as the limo driver and rudely continued to keep walking as he threatened all of us he would leave without us. He never introduced himself to anyone nor did we even know he was there since he was late. The best man asked him who he was and the driver turned his back to him and then walked back to the limo. As the bridal party walked towards the limos, the drivers never even got out to greet us. The driver of the Porsche had some woman sitting in the front seat who gave glaring looks out to me and my bridesmaids as we walked toward the vehicle. Completely unprofessional. The Porsche had NO alcohol as promised and the radio did not work. The inside was dirty and the bridesmaids had to load and unload all of their stuff into the back while the driver sat in the front and watched us. As for the Navigator, again, the driver was rude and obnoxious, using foul language to the guys (same guy who got out and yelled at us by the pier). There was NO alcohol inside the vehicle as promised. There was ONE bottle of water and ONE soda inside. The air conditioning was turned to OFF and the radio didn't work. The passengers knocked on the glass to ask the driver for air and music and he yelled back at them and said it didn't work. We paid for a broken limo? When we arrived to the Country Club, the driver barely gave us enough time to get out of the limo before driving off. We were in the process of unloading our belongings and the car started to move. The valet staff had to tell the limo to STOP before someone got hurt. Before we could retrieve all of our belongings, the limo had left, and with it, they took an EXTREMELY expensive bouquet of flowers the groom had given me as a gift the day of the wedding. One of the bridesmaids went to go back to the limo to get the flowers, only to find the vehicle had taken off. She specifically told the driver that she would be right back. Had the driver helped us get in and out and unload our belongings, this would never of happened. All in all, we are extremely disappointed, as is, everyone that was in the vehicles. 4 out of 7 of our bridal party is getting married in 2011 and had our experience been better, we would have referred Moonlight Limo to them. However, everyone witnessed first hand how unprofessional and tacky this company truly is. I hope you use this information to better train the staff at Moonlight and prevent this from happening to anyone in the future. I recently used Moonlight Limo as part of my guest transportation home from my wedding. BIG MISTAKE. The company was contracted from 9pm until 2am yet the driver did not bother to show up to my venue until 11pm. I had elderly guests that had to walk back to their hotels and families with young children who ended up having to call cabs. Another fun experience with them was during my own ride home. Myself, groom and a few cousins and friends were the last trip of the night and after dropping off a few of us at our perspective hotels the driver then proceeded to pick up random guests that were not part of my event. My friends in the van described these people as "disgusting euro trash" and were not at all pleased with being hit on until they made it to their destination. Lovely that the company will take on other business using the same vehicle that I had already purchased. I am guessing that is what happened to my first 2 hours, must have been too busy using a paid for vehicle double dipping in other business in town. Clearly, none of this is ok. In an attempt to reach out to my contact there, I emailed him all of the above and asked him what he plans to do to fix what happened. Instead of an "I'm so sorry" or anything of the like, the contact Billy screamed at my fiance over the phone and accused him lying about all that had happened and for "picking on the little guy". By the end he said he would refund us for the two hours that noone was there. In checking my bank statements today, I noticed that not only was there NO REFUND, but they had actually double charged me for the final payment. What a barrel of fun Moonlight Limo has been to deal with. If you feel like get crap service, ripped off and screamed at go ahead and book them. For a real professional maybe try Viking instead. read more

BEWARE! I rented Moonlight Limo as a source to give friends and family a safe way to travel to and from the hotel for a wedding. This unfortunately is not what happened. Upon returning to the hotel, the driver said he checked the bus before leaving. He did not do a very good job. After leaving the hotel, a young adult came out of the bathroom. He went to the driver and asked that he return to the hotel. They were only 5 and a half miles from the hotel. Instead, the driver told him to get off the bus. This person was left in an unfamiliar area late at night. I received no phone call from the limo service of what was happening. If you value your young adult's well being, please think twice what company you use. read more

I used this company for my wedding. They had asked for prepayment in advance. I had ordered an excalibur which was the car they were required to deliver in the contract. When we got outside there was a stretch limousine. Absolutely embarrassing. I received no notice to make other arrangements. The driver claimed to be outsourced and the call operator was absolutely unprofessional. I asked for the manager to call me back but have yet to hear anything. Please, do not waste your time and money on this company. Paid in advance for a Van to transport myself and some friends to the Barclays Center. Well, what we got was a Van that was on it's last leg. The Van was very old (nothing like the photos shown on their website) Every bump in the road was dreadful. The driver was on his last leg as well as he could not maintain the speed limit or seem to stay awake. I was running late to one of my meetings and Mike, the driver and owner of the company, went out of his way to accommodate my time restrains. At the time of picking me up, Mike was "off the clock" and dropped everything to pick me up within ten minutes of calling him. Mike was very courteous and understanding about my time restrains. He was a very good driver as well. Mike was empathetic of my needs and he understood how important it was for me to show up for the meeting timely. Not only did Mike get me to the destination location timely, he even offered to process my payment via phone when it would be convenient for me after my meeting. Extremely unprofessional. I called to make an appointment and the girl simply answered "hello?" I asked if this was Moon Light Limo and she responded 'Yes" then dead silence... I told her I was looking for some information about limos for my wedding. She then proceeded to put me on hold (without warning) for five minutes. She picked back and said "Hello?" This is when I hung up. Sice they have pretty reasonable prices listed on their website my Fiance called and made a same day appointment anyway. We arrive at the address and ask a man in a limo where we should go. Aparently, this was the person running the appointment and he had no recollection of setting an appointment with us. He brought us up to the office and sat down in silence. My Fiance took the inititative and told him what we were looking for and apparently nothing listed on the site was available. The Porsche was unavailable and even though there is an option for 3 hour minimum with no wedding package included we were told we HAD to take the wedding package. He proceeded to take three phone calls on his cell phone and left to let another appointment into the building all within our seven minute appointment. He couldn't give us prices (even though they are listed on the website) and called us three different times after we left to get information. Mind you, we gave him all of the information in the extremely short appointment. He then called one last time and read the prices off of the internet to us. No thank you. We recently used this service for a drop off and pick up to JFK airport. The man who took us was very nice, polite, came on time and we have no complaints about him. Wish I could remember the drivers names! If we had the same experience coming back I would have given a higher rating. The man who picked us up was rude right off the bat. My husband called him when we landed and explained that we were stuck on the runway due to a storm coming in. We ended up sitting on the runway for about 2 hours! When we finally got out we called the driver who told us to come out where departures are as opposed to meeting us where we came out. So we had to walk all the way around the airport to meet him. Again we had to call him to see where he was and he was being very nasty to my husband. When he finally came he was so short and nasty to us and was complaining about how his day was bad because he had to wait for our flight. Really? Because I wanted to sit on the runway for 2 hours in a storm? We asked him to drive us to a different town than we originally planned which was actually closer to the airport. Instead of just saying he had to speak to his boss and try to be accommodating he literally gave us lip about how that means his drive back will be longer and why did we have to go there instead. The weather was terrible, roads were closed for flooding and traffic was a nightmare. I could handle that but his rudeness caused so much tension it was the most uncomfortable drive home! My husband and I used then for a ride back from the airport- the driver was rude, charged 5 bucks for using a credit card ( even though they didn't disclose it at the time of booking) and the driver helped himself to a non negotiable 20 percent tip. BEWARE. Moonlight subcontracts for vehicles they don't have. We booked a party bus for 30 people 8 months in advance. I called multiple times asking questions making sure this would be perfect. Day of our party the bus rolls up and the AC wasn't working. It was one of the hottest days in early September. Also we had a final headcount of 28 people (even though I booked it for 30 people) People had to stand and even sit up front with the driver because it was so tight. The TV was also broken. We had recorded a video that we wanted our guests to watch before they got to the surprise location. I called multiple times to check what kind of format would work. Many people got sick and got nauseous because of the heat and the lack of space. Hearing about the party bus experience for our guests ruined our wedding day. Moonlight refunded our entire purchase less the pay and tip for the driver. The driver from the other company was great, courteous and understanding of our frustration. It wasn't him we were upset with, it was Moonlight. Also people should be aware that they give you discounts for posting good reviews. HEADS UP. I 100% would have preferred to pay in full and receive good service then get a refund for crappy service. I got their name from my company too, you better believe my company will not be using them anymore either. read more
