It was so amazing to get to experience the city of Walnut Grove, Locke, and Isleton. As a Chinese…read moreAmerican, I was incredibly moved seeing the museums, buildings, and walking around town in general. They have done a great job saving a lot of the city but there's so much more work to do still, to ensure that the future generations get to visit Dai Loy Museum too. I believe this museum and town was on a series of Ghost Hunters or Ghost Adventurers? Some show like that. This museum was in that episode and I found the stories to be so interesting. I watched the episode after visiting, and out of all of the museums we walked through, this was the spookiest! The inside is very well preserved, you really feel like you walked back in history. The floors are warped, so maybe that made me dizzy to an effect? You cannot go upstairs and it's quite dark. When we visited, there was an owl upstairs who added to the creepy factor. The only room that made me uncomfortable was the money room personally. Please consider visiting and supporting the open businesses here. The gift shop and Al the Wops were open. The two thrift stores were cool to walk through but held nothing of interest. There's many cute cats who run around and mature fruit trees. I think about the people who built this town and hope they eventually found happiness. Thank you so much to all of the people who built this country. The Chinese immigrants did so much and their stories deserve to be remembered. So many stories have already been lost or erased purposely. It's unfair to not also mention the Natives who lived here even before the Chinese and Japanese did. This land is rich in love and sacrifice from people who never got the true credit they deserved.

The building and floor are not level and have some odd angles . Free admission . A must visit for the history and especially if you have relatives or friends that grew up in that area.

This is an incredible way to decorate your home with REAL art that comes to your door. Noa is the…read moreowner and in most cases the designer of the pieces that look best and work in your home and with your style, taste and current decor. She came into my home with dozens of options, hanging canvas's up on my wall where I was able to study them, take a picture and feel the art in the space - then - all of a sudden, I turn around after she has put another two pieces up and WOW that's it. I would have never picked what I picked in any store - but seeing on my wall in MY living room - I knew - it spoke to me, and that was it. The framer came shortly after, framed it perfectly and it's now hanging on my wall. Do you know how many pictures and how much time I would have had to lug in my car and put up each piece only to probably return it and start all over again? Too many hours to count - too many holes in my wall - too many trips to countless stores. Noa is awesome, talented, warm, friendly and honest about what works and what doesn't AND there is no pressure. It's free for her to come and take a test drive of art in your home! Highly recommend!

The paintings she recommended were perfect for each room and what was especially valuable was her suggestions for optimizing the space. We already made a couple of the changes she mentioned and it has really elevated the room! Her style is very personable without feeling like too much of a "sales pitch". Her framer was also punctual and efficient, and available just a couple days after we bought the art. Would definitely recommend Noa's Art to any new home owners looking to create a beautiful space!
