Having said that however, the last straw finally showed up when I had to go into the attic to check on an TV antenna. As I looked around and upwards, I noticed that the roofers had not completely cut away the tar paper over the square vent holes. In fact what they had done was either use their fist or foot to more-or-less kick through the square hole for the roof vent, rather than properly cut away the tar paper, which left the hole still obstructed by tar paper. You know, who does this? Are we in that much of hurry that we can take the extra 5 nanoseconds to properly install the vents and tar paper? This on top of the fact that during the "sales presentation," the rep kept talking about how important ventilation is and was trying to sell me on more vents. Really? How about we just properly install the existing vents? While I could go on with an extensive list of shortcomings, what would be the point? I mean would it be how the owner comes around boasting about how "good" things are going? Or if I mention how the issues the front man promised only barely came in under the wire. Or maybe how the Hispanic crew actually made derogatory remarks about me in Spanish and whoops, I speak fairly fluent Spanish. What would be the tipping point in a long list to make someone pass on this company? My gut told me to pass on this company but I didn't, darn it. They have plenty of good reviews out there and I can't for the life of me figure out why because no one who had these results, would come to the conclusion that this was a good job or company. Unless it's just a crap-shoot and you spin the big wheel to see what you'll get. Your choice.
