Maybe it's because of their location out in the country, but they were a full 18¢ per gallon cheaper than the stations located in the big cities and along the interstate highways. I walked inside to add money to my gift card (give them $50 and get $51 back on the card), and the smell of cut tobacco was very inviting, just like the smell of percolated coffee 1st thing in the morning! (Note: I don't use tobacco products, nor do I drink coffee, but the smell of each is so pleasant to the nose). Their convenience store is small, but adequate. They have one diesel pump out back for big rigs and RVs, but virtually no parking was to be found for the transient trucker.

The pharmacy stands out as a winner with the crowd in Montrose. They close at 6:00pm but folks have called ahead and walked in later to get their urgent scripts. You can get a free flu shot or shingles vaccination here. They don't offer a restroom and the lobby next door at Mc'D is closed. You'll have to go down to Conlee's gas station/mart for that. There's a huge parking lot that will never get filled. They offer photo services and are now a UPS drop off/pickup location.
