I waited 3.5 hours for an appointment because the nurse sent me to the wrong location in the hospital. I was also there for a test regarding a VA claim, and they billed me. Not how VA works at all. Even if they fix this, I will never forgive them for the stress they caused. When I raised my concerns about lack of training the operator literally told me "I don't wan't to hear it." I pray no one is doing any practical hours or residency work here, we need fewer hospitals like this one. I would trust a crackhead in Montgomery with my life more than their staff.

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates - Montgomery, AL My…read morewife recently had her wisdom teeth removed at Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates (7200 Halcyon Summit Dr., Montgomery, AL 36117), and it was a horrifying experience. Her absolute worst nightmare came true: she woke up in the middle of the surgery. Because she was wearing protective glasses, she realized the staff wouldn't see her crying, so she began making noises with her mouth to get their attention. She heard the dentist instruct the nurse to administer "20 more ccs" of medication, but despite that, she could feel the dentist cutting and actively pulling on her teeth. After the procedure, the dentist came into the waiting room and told me she did well, giving me standard post-operative instructions. At no point did he mention that she had regained consciousness during the surgery. He instructed me to drive around to the pickup bay to get her. When I met her and the nurse at the exit door, the nurse simply said, "She did well, bless her." However, my wife was crying, silent, and visibly distraught. As I helped her into the vehicle and asked what was wrong, she broke down and told me she had woken up during the operation. I deeply wish someone on staff had been honest and informed me of what happened before we left the facility. While I am unsure if any formal remedy can fix this, I am sharing our experience to ensure others are aware.

I delivered my first baby here. Overall, a pretty good experience! Ali, the L&D nurse trained in…read morespinning babies, was amazing. She helped my labor progress quickly after the epidural and checked on me often. She and my midwife worked great together. However, the two L&D nurses who did my admission paperwork were unpleasant and rushed, especially the charge nurse. They didn't explain procedures before attaching multiple monitors, which made my anxiety worse. When I asked for wireless fetal monitoring, the nurse was rude and insisted on straps first due to my baby's tachycardia which was likely caused by their rough handling. The nurse after shift change was wonderful though. On the postpartum floor, I had a very negligent nurse (older woman with short gray hair). She barely checked on me, pressured me to urinate despite numbness from my epidural, gave me a bladder-stimulating pill, but didn't assist me properly. She performed a bladder ultrasound showing 600mL retained but was dismissive. Later, a different nurse was much more helpful. She assisted me to the bathroom, restocked supplies, and helped with heat packs. After she left, I felt extreme bladder pressure and needed a catheter, which relieved me immediately. The negligent nurse also tried to give me my prenatal and ibuprofen while I was ON THE TOILET with a catheter instead of just waiting until I was out of the bathroom. And of course she offered me no help again even though it was nearly impossible to maneuver all of the sanitary supplies around my catheter without getting blood on the floor. I asked that she not return to my room again. Nutrition was great. She was friendly, timely, and served great food. Lactation support was nice, and nursery nurses were excellent. However, the nursery doctor was unprofessional, pressuring me to breastfeed and making inappropriate claims about IQ benefits despite my discomfort and challenges. She was dismissive and judgmental instead. Despite some bad experiences, I'm grateful for the two fantastic L&D nurses, three great postpartum nurses, and excellent nutrition staff. I was glad to leave the hospital with my baby.

I always had great quality treatment since Montgomery Dentistry took over after the passing of DDM…read moreHallman. But Now I am greatly disappointed! In midyear 2023 they no longer accepted my insurance provider Cigna Dental. The only change for me was that MGM Dentistry moved from an in network provider to an Out of Network provider. Out of Network providers with Cigna Dental are still paid and I have a ZERO DEDUCTIBLE for two annual routine dental visits. After several requests to this group to file my claim correctly they have done nothing and continue to invoice me $250 plus for a cleaning that clearly is a ZERO deductible to me. To further complicate and inconvenience me is that MD is in the middle of replacing a warranted crown that I paid in full. The crown procedure cracked my tooth root and two months later I am paying an Oral Surgeon to extract the tooth and prepare my jaw for an implant. However I remain in limbo since MD can't get my coverage straight. I never asked for this situation and I feel MD has dropped the ball and is unwilling to take the task to manage a transition in insurance coverage created by their action.
