If you are looking for a physician that you can trust and depend on to do the right thing and act within the confines of standard medical practices, you should look elsewhere. Savneet Chatta is in this business for the sole purpose of filling her time slots with as many billable hours as possible without actually treating the issue.
She had been my personal care physician for a few years and periodically I would receive telephone calls from Montgomery Internal Medicine asking if I wanted a physical because she had open slots available. I did not think much about those calls until I came to the realization that those open slots were going to be used against me.
I went to Dr. Chatta for a surgical clearance a few months ago. Because I was in excruciating pain, my blood pressure had gone up to 130 over 90. Other medical practitioners that I have spoken to call that "mildly elevated". Doctors will have a specific protocol as to what they prescribe in these situations.Savneet Chatta did not utilize the standard protocol to treat my symptoms to prepare me for surgery. She specifically gave me very small doses of singular medications as I continually had to go back to her office several times over the next month as my blood pressure was increasingly getting higher due to the fact I was in extreme levels of pain.
During one of my visits, I asked about one medication that a nurse practitioner told me that I needed to add to the protocol. Chatta refused to put me on this medication because she said, "it will make you cough". During the last visit to her office, she gleefully told me that she wanted to hold my surgery off another few months to see how the calcium blocker, that doesn't effect kidneys, will effect my kidneys. Her intention was to have me come in to her office over the next several months to monitor a condition that was not going to change without allowing me to get a needed surgery.
When I asked why she wasn't giving me the standard treatment for a lightly elevated blood pressure, she actually had the audacity to say to me that she didn't know what I wanted from her. Apparently, generally accepted medical treatment is not within Savneet Chatta's intent toward her patients.
As I finally changed my personal care physician, the new doctor quickly gave me the two needed medications, which included the one that Chatta claimed would make me "cough" and my blood pressure was normalized within 2 hours. That next week, I called the surgeon that was to do my surgery and I was placed back on the schedule and have since had the surgery and am recovering beautifully.
This does not, however, recover my lost time and resources over having to retake a number of pre-surgical tests and lost cash deposits for having to cancel my first scheduled surgery. The time that Savneet Chatta stole from me in her effort to fill billable slots in her schedule, as well as the cash deposits that were made, were not recovered.
As I told several medical practitioners what Savneet Chatta did, the response, in general was that her actions were "absolutely terrible". After this experience, I would have to say that Savneet Chatta and her actions are a complete disgrace to the medical industry. Be warned, if this is Savneet Chatta's standard of behavior, this may be the overall norm at Montgomery Internal Medicine.
So, if you are looking for a doctor to help you, for whatever reason, look elsewhere. Savneet Chatta is there to help only herself. read more
