Seems there is a lot of parking in this area - street parking, open lot, and a parking garage. I was meeting up with some friends and decided to park in this Public Garage # 13. At the time I visited it had about 300 spots available.
As you enter, you will notice there are no machines to grab a ticket. The first level seemed to be for a 2-hour max, while the rest of the levels were more than 2 hours. The garage is open 24 hours.
There is lots of signage inside so you will know where you are exiting (Grandview Avenue or Wheaton Triangle). You can either take the stairs or elevators. Seems to be 4 or 5 levels (G1 to G4). G is the level you exit on.
You pre-pay for your parking ($1 per hour), between 7am to 10pm (Monday to Saturday) either by using the machines or using the app (Parkmobile or Passport Parking). If you use the machine, it provides an explanation on how to use it: Enter your parking space number, estimate the time you are parking for, make your payment (credit card or cash), and then take a receipt. I was not sure whether I should put my receipt in the vehicle or keep it with me. My friend used one of the apps and could extend their time on the app (if needed). I may try the app next time (we'll see). read more
