He gave us some tips about where we might see certain types of birds and he was absolutely spot on!! We spotted a pair of bald eagles in the tree line and after a 5 minute wait or so, they treated us to a flight right over the car to soar over the water on the other side of the drive. It is absolutely amazing that this wonderful resource is free to enjoy. The visitors center is accessible to those using mobility equipment and the drive is a wonderful way to enjoy the wildlife without a hike.

The parking lot can be a battle to squeeze into spots and can end up waiting for a spot. The spots…read morein the front do have a steep drop off from the pavement. The path starts off great running over and along the river with nothing but beautiful wildlife around you. It then begins to get steep and bit dangerous if you head the left route but forced to walk through the cold clean water if you head right. So water shoes are STRONGLY recommended here and still can be dangerous. The 1st waterfall is impressive and peaceful with the crashing waters. We sadly didn't see the 2nd waterfall because it didn't look safe enough to walk on the slippery rocks. It's a nice hike if you're prepared for the time and get here early in the day.

It's not too far off from Heritage Hill Brewery, so you can do a two-for and visit both-- however the park is lovely and worth a visit on its own. There's an overlook near the entrance where you can get a glimpse of the waterfall. However, the falls are also within walking distance of the start of the trail. The hill is on a slant and there are steep stairs, so the view may not be accessible for those who have difficulty walking. However, it was so calming just to sit and watch and listening to the waterfall. The day I went, there were others out but the paths didn't feel claustrophobic. I took some time and walked through the woods. The trail I took was relatively short, I think about a half mile total. I appreciated that there was a marker at the start that let you know how long it was. I am by no means a regular hiker (hoping to change that one day!) but this trail wasn't exhausting and was quite serene. This is a great park with a great waterfall and is definitely worth checking out!

We parked on the East Bay Drive entrance (which has a very steep but short climb to view the bluffs). Please note the east entrance to the Bluff Trail has a limited number of parking spots with two porta-potty units instead of a full restroom. This is NOT the main entrance to the state park (which offers a larger parking lot and picnic benches). Although we did not have enough time to explore the other sections of the park or walk the full 1.3 miles of the Bluff Trail, I think the dramatic view of the drumlins with Lake Ontario in the background was more than worth the 1 hour drive from Penn Yan (on Keuka Lake) where we stayed for vacation. Another benefit of parking on the east end of the Bluff trail is that you have convenient walking access to Dragon View Beach (a popular spot to go swimming in the summer).

You know it starts in the heart of College town right next to the theater in the law school and immediately spectacular fall with the stone arch Bridge. It's gorgeous the Falls continue Cascade down several bends and turns the trail comes right up to the Falls just pouring right next to you as your Spencer Street. There's another arch bridge and the final cascading Falls at the bottom. It was pretty nice. It was. It's kind of picture box by a nice little cherry blossom or I think maybe an apple rose blossom or something but well worth it on this nice spring day to check out now that it's open if you go to Cornell, definitely check it out. It's well worth it and it drops you off right at commons. So if you're taking the street to the commons from college town, considered this and said it's great.

I read some reviews about this trail before going and everything was accurate and amazing. It's a simple enough trail that is just over 1 mile out and back. Dogs are allowed and there are several steps. It's very peaceful and beautiful. There is a waterfall around every corner!

In the middle of this historic town is a mile long "sculpture trail" along the canal. It's short…read moreenough to be a nice walk. There are benches along the wya, and of course, sculptures. It was opened in 1999. It starts at the base of a bridge, on the aptly named Bridge Street. It walks along the Seneca-Cayuga Canal. It's named after Frank J Ludovico - who donated the land it is on. The statutes are mostly by female artists and are inspired by the women's movement, which started here in Seneca Falls. It's a great active activity with tons of history along the way.

The owners were very kind and instructed me on technique and proper form when rowing a kayak. My partner and I came on a calm morning with perfect weather conditions to kayak (no wind, flat water.) We got the faster kayaks and were able to kayak 2 miles going to see Hector Falls and 2 miles coming back. I truly cannot feel like I understand and know a body of water now without kayaking it first. The price for 2 hours was $52, but given it is the famous, Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region, I feel it's warranted and definitely worth it. During our stay in the Finger Lakes, for both of us, this was one of our absolute favorite things to do on the trip. When we come back, we will definitely visit this business again.
