Fresh Water-Grande / Agua Natural

Food and service was great! Very friendly staff and the ambience is nice and quiet. The murals on the wall were stunning! But the cleanliness was my biggest concern. Tables and chairs were very worn out, topping bar was very messy, and air conditioning didn't work very well.

Carnitas with rice and beans

So delicious!! I'm not well versed in authenticity with Mexican food, but I will say this places is awesome! We have driven by this little corner place several times and wondered about it so we finally took the plunge. This is a small location with its own parking lot. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is in Spanish/English and the people who work there are super sweet. I ordered a burrito supreme and asked if it had lettuce, sour cream - the usual 'supreme' stuff. Well it doesn't, and it seemed like total blasphemy to the waitress, hahaha. It did however, have rice, beans, cheese, and pica de gallo (sp?) It was awesome. My husband got a dinner plate with rice, refried beans, and pork carnitas. He said they were the best beans he's had in a long time! They have a few kid style drinks on the menu, the Spanish sodas, the piña drink, and a hibiscus tea lemonade that is yummy. However the drinks very quickly increase your bill. We went from $33 in food to a $55 bill with drinks and tax so keep that in mind. We will definitely come back here again!

I happened to stop in to try them out! I loved the food and staff was very friendly and helped me with any questions I had. I loved the Al pastor sopes and the tacos. They have a little bar where you get your own sauces and cilantro and onion and many more things to add in your plate as a topping. I will return when I'm up in the area as I live in St Petersburg. They had music on and the vibe was great. I love the cup they put the horchata in.

Carne Asada Tostada

We came here on the way to Tampa because of the Yelp reviews. We order a small cheese quesadilla, carne asada tostada, piña agua fresco, y tacos: 2 chorizo, 2 lengua, 2 shrimp, 2 al pastor. All the food was good. The al pastor was amazing! Another yelper posted he always gets it, so we were glad to have tried it. We ended up ordering 2 more al pastor tacos and another cheese quesadilla for the kids. The corn tortillas tasted freshly made. The tostada had a nice crunch and was yummy. They have a salsa and condiments bar to dress your tacos and such. It had 6 different salsas available. The guy at the counter was nice and friendly. Nice small space to eat in, while listening to Mexican music. The bathrooms are located on the outside of the building. I'm sure we'll be back again.

Plant City is a Mexican/agricultural hub of Central Florida, so expectations were high. $2 tacos were well portioned, flavorful and all the accompaniments (cilantro, onion, salsas...etc) were available buffet style. I was assured the pastor was freshly shaven off a spit, but judging by the cut and cook of it, had doubts.

Best Mexican restaurant I've found in this area! Will definitely be coming back! We ordered the steak tacos with Mexican rice and black beans and hibiscus lemonade and it was amazing! There was melted mozzarella cheese in the tacos and the steak was so tender and fresh! Very good quality and great value!

I have absolutely nothing nice to say. From the moment we…read moregot there service was terrible, we had to ask for literally all of the basics (napkins, utensils, refills). Our drink order was messed up, our food order was messed up, and lots of things were just straight up forgotten. Had to even ask for kids menu, drink menu. They added a 20% large party fee (8 people, 2 children), and with the level of service that we had my wife decided to go and talk to the manager about that, our waiter dropped what she was doing to run across the restaurant to go and be present for that conversation. Food was awful. Very bland, very boring. Steak was burnt. Totino's queso is better, than theirs. Also, every tortilla in this restaurant was almost certainly mission brand tortillas, that you can buy at Walmart. I'm not even kidding. Our margaritas were forgotten about, because our waitress never put the order in, so we canceled one of them, the one we did get wasn't even good. Waitress was consistently giving us all attitude, rolling her eyes, throwing her head back, scoffing, complaining that she had been there since opening, and literally said that she "just doesn't care anymore" My wife and I agreed that ground beef tacos made it home would've been a better decision. Also for just two people, only one alcoholic drink, our bill was $77. Would've been $92 (before tip) with the large party fee. If you're willing to drive to Brandon, go to Tres Amigos. They would never disappoint you like this.

My review is based from DoorDash order;…read more Hoping my main taco bus doesn't read this, they gonna choke me good lol joke aside, i ordered the chicken enchiladas, the 3 tacos and the chips n salsa. I only tasted the Enchiladas, i had a fall out last night with family n i cannot review the tacos or the chips. Things are getting complicated n i decided to order Mexican food to make myself feel something else. I waited till my anger kinda faded, cuz i don't like stress eating. I hardly ever taste what i eat when i'm in the wrong mood. I am glad i did. I ordered mine with green sauce sense it's the only spicy sauce i can handle. Didn't have to use the extra one. It has spice already infused into the dish! It was a fun fiery heat in my mouth! Every fork full brought a warm full joy. The flavors dancing in mouth on every chew i took. I kid you not! The chicken was delicious, feathery n tender. Had this sweet hidden note i could only taste as it slid down my throat. The ghostly notes lingered on my tung n tickling my taste buds. The beans were nice by themselves. Yet with the rice they to danced in my mouth. The heavy moat of cheese n salsa complimented the whole dish to. I wish i tried the tacos, they looked great. A las i guess my next adventure should be Plant city when things stabilize. Will have to definitely visit the restaurant n experience the visit. Theres an ice cream place near this restaurant that i been meaning to go to. I can kill two birds one stone.

Thanks, Yelp! When I was hungry after antiquing, you led me here. Nice work!…read more I'm not overly familiar with the Lakeland dining scene (I probably owe it to myself to change that), so needed help satisfying my constant craving for Mexican. The Yelpiverse offered several options. The many mentions of kind service drew me here. And indeed, Yelp was right on. Alex was amazing. He was so friendly and helpful-never made me feel rushed. That was just the thing I needed, after a long work week. So, Tapatio's is on Memorial, not far from Lakeland High School. It's a cute, golden yellow building with several beautiful flower planters and crepe myrtle trees out front. It's eye-catching and yes, there's a big private parking lot. Inside, it's big but cozy. There are two separate dining areas: one up front, facing Memorial. The other is along the side. I was seated in the front area. It's colorful, comfy and homey. There's a wholesome vibe here that makes me wonder if this a family operation. I felt very welcomed. And I absolutely loved the complimentary chips and salsa. The fresh, light chips were served warm and came with two salsas: regular-and a side of spicy, that you can mix in with the regular to your ideal heat level. The menu is large... and it took me a long time to decide. Alex was so patient. I had a margarita, which wasn't too sweet (yay). I also ordered a small side of queso blanco dip and a side of flour tortillas. Frankly, I was stuffed after that, but I didn't want to miss out on anything-so I ordered the lunch "pick two" and went with two tacos: one hard taco with beef and one soft taco with chicken. It came with one side-I went with rice. What a great value for money this was: a huge helping for $11.95! The tacos were stuffed full of meat, that was cooked well. I really enjoyed all the little extra touches here, the attention to detail. There was a paper doily under the cheese dip cup, on the little plate. I liked the engraved logo on the wooden salt and paper shakers on each table and all of the wall art and decor objects. You can tell the owners/staff care about the business and the customers. I wish them all good things and huge success.
