After several hours on the road, Buc-ee's was exactly the monotony breaker we needed. It's much more than a gas station or convenience store--it's a destination in itself. We found ourselves wandering the aisles much longer than we planned, and honestly, that was part of the fun. The entire establishment was exceptionally clean and well organized despite the steady stream of travelers. The staff we encountered were friendly, welcoming, and kept everything moving efficiently. One thing that really stood out was the cleanliness of the restrooms. They were spotless and among the cleanest I've ever seen at a travel stop. After hours on the road, that's something travelers genuinely appreciate. We stocked up on road-trip essentials, grabbed a few snacks and souvenirs, and headed back onto the highway feeling refreshed for the final stretch to Bristol. Buc-ee's isn't just a place to fuel your vehicle--it's a place to recharge yourself. Highly recommended, and I'll happily stop at another Buc-ee's whenever I get the chance.

I always wonder how long the line will be, but I was able to get in and out quickly both times I stopped this weekend. I primarily came for the reduced gas prices, clean restrooms, and great snacks, but the friendly staff are always a bonus. This trip I fell in love with the Cherry Maple Beef Jerky as it's sweet and savory without being overly sweet, and the texture isn't too tough. I also really enjoyed the peach tea! If you're making the drive between Middle and East Tennessee, this Buc-ee's is definitely worth the stop.

Gas n' go! I came in here, and got a full tank, some…read moregroceries, and some boiled peanuts for the road. In my neck of the woods, they don't have boiled peanuts very often, especially Cajun style. I jumped at the chance to fill up my own bowl with peanuts and seal it up with an ill-fitting lid. The peanuts ended up spilling all over the floorboards of the car, giving it a peanutty cajun scent. Mmmm. The clerk here was nice- I bought some Coca-Cola, and she reminded me that I should grab a 2nd one, since they were offering a generous BOGO deal. I also came away with a couple bundles of firewood, which was cheaper to get here than waiting until I entered the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which this convenience store is conveniently located outside of. Gas was sufficient, and cheaper than we were used to paying for some of the ride. The restrooms were cramped and dirty. They don't let you use it unless you're a customer.

#25/2023 Out with the old in with the new…read moreOld Travel Center it was run down and decrepit over at Cookeville that used to have those great fried bologna sandwiches though LOL and the old Amish kitchen is gone! Same owner got himself a grant partnered up with Travel centers of America that has a new ta Express just built. This is a franchise not corporate owned. A very nice facility when I came in just recently opened days before. A very nicely new pave parking lot for now a beautiful brand new building. Featuring three different fast foods in the food court it has a now open Hardee's, a el tapiato fresh Mex Express similar to like Moe's Chipotle etc. And a full-service Sabarro. Are the general public it has easy access to the gas pumps it's got very clean brand new bathrooms of beer cooler soft drinks moderate size convenience store nice looking selection smaller but still good. It also has a community coffee nice to see out of New Orleans area that you find them further south. They're still working out some bugs in here they got showers I got a scale they got a little TV room. They're also the old rundown shop is going to get reopened again he hopes with a little bit of luck as things progress. I think having the TA name under his belt is going to be a good thing to bring more people in I just hope they don't trash it honestly. I came in and had Sbarro the other day enjoyed it very much. I hope you have good luck with the new center it's nice to see how clean it is right off of interstate 40 easily accessible and on the Long mountain route between Cookeville through Sparta down into Chattanooga.
