This visit with friends was to share time fireside, share some nice food and cocktails. Montecito Club is one of the most exquisitely decorated spaces I have ever visited. The attention to detail with decor and vibe was unmatched. The sweeping views of Montecito, Santa Barbara and three Channel Islands (Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa & San Miguel) was incredible! The food and service were excellent! Our group shared wood fired pizza, bone marrow, salad, Alaskan Halibut & Steak. Eating family style ensured us all a wealth of amazing flavors and was a delicious dinner! Will be back again to play some golf and then relax poolside! read more

We used this property for a wedding venue. The event went smoothly until the end of the evening. At that time the staff went around telling (very rudely) our guests that they had to leave because they had to setup for a wedding. This happened shortly after the music stopped. The worst part was how rude the staff was towards the Father of the Bride because he exited using "the members door" at 11pm. Seriously? They tout themselves as "not stuffy" but that is exactly how they are - especially towards minorities. read more

Incredible! This place is full of activity. Unfortunately it's members only, but I was able to go for an event with my work. They obviously have the golf course, but they also have a swimming pool, bowling alley, arcade, and movie theater. There are restaurants and people waiting on you at every stop. It's such a bougie experience. The place is so well maintained and beautiful. Plus, the views out onto the ocean are amazing. The location is perfect. They have tons of parking too. read more

I had dinner here for my birthday, it was a beautiful day, lovely atmosphere, gorgeous view, beautiful restaurant and to top it off I was able to share it with my daughter, son n law and 22 month old grand daughter. Though the service was a little slow the food was delicious. I enjoyed the Petite Filet with a creamy mash potato with asparagus and Smoked Salmon Tartine for dessert I had complimentary vanilla ice cream and 2oz of a 20 year tawny port. FYI members only. BEST WEDDING VENUE IN SB! The Montecito Club is incredible in every way. It's a beautiful venue in SB with stunning views from the upper lawn where we had our ceremony and cocktail hour. It was quiet / peaceful during our ceremony, as MC club members were notified of a wedding. We looked at dozen of places, but as soon as we walked the upper lawn (for ceremony + cocktail hour), we knew it was right and we were blown away by the breathtaking views. It fit the beachy, timeless elegance vibe we were envisioning for our wedding. Beyond the stunning views from The Lawn, they have multiple venue spaces for you to pick - we used the indoor ballroom for our reception/dinner and the rotunda room for dancing. Finally, the staff is all incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially Kim. I could not say enough good things about her; she's so helpful, kind, and went above and beyond on the day of our wedding. Also, the appetizers, dinner, and drinks were all phenomenal and with 5-star service. Montecito Club made our wedding day absolutely perfect, I only wish we could do it again! read more

Overrated and overpriced. Service was underwhelming and the nearly all white staff struck a hint of racism in their tone throughout our experience. A rather costly wedding reception using a photographer that had worked here multiple times. Photo evidence of photos taken in locations of all white bridal parties but we were precluded from using the space. read more

We, Garden Florist Events did a large event there this month and the staff were so accommodating. They acknowledged our timeline and need to bring in perishable products and have them last the day. And since the last time I worked there on an event before Covid, they have fully re-decorated and it looks amazing! read more

While I've never experienced the pool, tennis courts, or golf courses of the Montecito Country Club, I did attend my best friend's wedding here this past weekend. My best friend actually isn't a member of this country club herself, but they actually let non-members get married here. Pretty cool cause I know from my own wedding research that you usually need to be a member (or at least get sponsored) to have a private event at a country club. MCC is one of the smarter clubs because weddings can definitely bring in a lot of money. The views from the MCC are absolutely breathtaking. The ceremony took place on the grounds located above the tennis courts and it was the most beautiful view of the mountains, water, and everything else that makes Santa Barbara special. The cocktail hour and reception took place inside. There were about 150 people at this wedding and it was just the perfect amount of space for that many people. The Spanish styled atmosphere has a rustic feel to it and it looked especially beautiful with the bright colored flowers my friend chose for her décor (see attached pics). MCC may require it, but if you happen to get married here yourself (lucky you!) make sure you have a day of wedding coordinator because I noticed the people from the venue weren't very involved the day of the wedding. Fortunately, my friend's Day-of-Coordinator made sure everything ran smoothly. The service was pretty good and the food was tasty. My meal consisted of a strawberry arugula salad, wild mushroom risotto (a bit rich for my weak stomach, but really good), and sorbet for dessert. And my husband ate every last bite of his filet with a smile on his face...and he's someone who usually complains about the food served at weddings. Highly recommended if you're looking for a beautiful venue for a Santa Barbara wedding. And if belonging to this club is anything like the weddings they put on I'm guessing it would be a pretty nice place to tee off as well. read more

My family began their membership in the 1950's, and were best friends with the previous owners, and while it has has always been an incredible club, now it's even more spectacular due to its redesign. I brought my husband to a company golf tournament and he was equally blown away; the course, cuisine, ambiance, amenities, and decor are beyond words. This venue was absolutely GORGEOUS. My cousin got married here, and I thought it was perfect; especially for those who have a ton of guests coming. The ceremony took place in a large room in front of a large window that overlooked the ocean from the hill we were on. It was absolutely stunning. After the ceremony, everyone migrated into a room to the side for cocktails; meanwhile all of the chairs got cleared out. We then all moved into the huge banquet room for the reception. The area where the ceremony was turned into the dance floor, photobooth area, and bar area. Everything was gorgeous; from the chandelier hanging from the ceiling, to the fireplace where the ceremony and dance floor was, it was all so elegant and classy. It definitely looked like it was a pricey venue, although I don't know how much they actually spent. It is definitely a perfect venue for a large wedding, and a fancy style. The only thing I didn't like was the outside of the venue. It wasn't very pretty looking, but it was on a hill overlooking the ocean which made up for it. read more

The only club With the best views. I've been a member since my teens and it always feels like home. Great food as well!!

We went to play some golf with some friends. Immediately we were met with rude remarks and openly showing his disgust for us. The golf manager pointed out everything that "was a violation" After the 1st while he came down and asked us to leave. We pay 200,000 dollars to join this club and do not expect to be kicked out for playing golf with friends. Terrible service from the golf manager and will not be playing golf there again. read more

Played a tournament at Montecito yesterday. I have to say that I am not a huge fan of this course. It is build on a huge slope, which lends itself to way to many side hill lies. The greens are in good shape (fast and smooth) but very hard to read. The food was pretty good and the service at lunch and dinner was excellent. The open bar is was great, I would classify it as "the stuff dreams are made of." The view from the patio of the ocean is always nice. Bottom line if you get a chance to play this course, get ready to be under whelmed by the layout. Although it will be an enjoyable day. read more

Beautiful location for your wedding. Pros First rate service. I didn't have silverware, and one of the wait staff that was on break went and got me utensils. He also noticed the trash needed to be taken out, so he did it. He didn't have to, but it was this sort of attention to detail that sets this place apart. The view is great, the service is decent, the food is good. The best part of the Montecito CC was the butter. I honestly do not know why so many people spend an arm and a leg to have events here when there are other fabulous (and less spendy) places to throw a party. I think an update would do wonders for the property. Not to mention a valet/car service for out of town visitors and party attendees who would like to have a drink or two. All in all, I'd go back on an invite, but I'd never pick it for myself. read more

We hosted our daughter's wedding at the Montecito Club in June. Exceptionally beautiful venue but service was not up to par and food for most part was mediocre at best with the exception of the short ribs (our other entrees included chicken, cauliflower steaks and sea bass which was nothing like we had been served at the tasting). No one from the club greeted me nor my husband or checked in with us in anyway. We were the last table served. We never received our bread baskets, and had to repeatedly ask to have wine served. Our entrees were cold upon arrival to our table. It was most embarrassing to have my husband give the father of the bride toast but staff had failed to serve the champagne as ordered so guests' glasses were empty. Overall there didn't appear to be an organized effort to coordinate the flow from pre-wedding beverage service (empty containers despite the hot day), cocktail hour (air conditioning was not turned on until half way through--we were sweltering) through the various dinner courses--slow service, lack of attention to details such as serving champagne and wine, bread on tables, food served expediently). If you seek just an excpetionally beautiful location, this is it, if you'd like great service and quality food, keep looking. read more

We came here to attend a wedding. The grounds were very nice and well kept. The reception was fantastic. The food (braised short ribs) were EXCELLENT especially considering it was produced en masse. I am basing this review on the assumption the food was prepared by the actual country club as opposed to a caterer. read more

The golf course for $178 a round isn't worth it. Played 18 today. This course is no better than a muni on the East Coast. Four very gimicky holes. Greens are lightning fast. 18 on a stimpmeter. They are also extremely small target golf types. The drought has killed this place. Numerous dried out spots. Ground is hard as a rock. I can live without ever playing here again. read more

I'm just reviewing the event venue of the country club. My friend just had her wedding reception here. The site is beautiful with a nice from the inside of the club. Two large doors opened up to the ballroom/dining room we were in. It was spacious and nicely decorated. My filet mignon was ok, but I was wishing I had ordered the ravioli instead. Good service from the staff. Ample parking. Very impressive! read more

I have been living here for 3 years . The apartments are not bad for the price. Their is not crime, and area is very convenient as for as amenities. Apartment agents are kind. The head manager is the one I have taken a liken to. Her name is Pam Perez. She is very caring , and a beautiful personality. In my opinion, she goes out of her way to listen to your issues, and complaints. No one or nothing is perfect, I see this property as a stepping stone to have some leasing history. The food is yummy all the servers are sweet and helpful and the event coordinators are very attentive. For a wedding its beautiful. Many planners have created such unique decor with so many options as it's a huge place. This location is one of about three of my favorites in Santa Barbara! read more

I have attended many events here, both as a guest and as a wedding officiant. It has spectacular views both within and outside, wonderful to photograph and oozing with old world charm. Yes it is beautiful, yes the view of the Pacific is breathtaking, but the customer service and interaction when planning the event is terrible. They are not extremely friendly, nor can they always cater to your needs. Their technology is out of date and speaker system needs replacing. They do not always know how to work everything in their facility themselves, and are not helpful in that aspect at all. Booking this venue should be a lot less expensive than it is due to these inconveniences, yet they scrape you for every last cent. My advce: find a cheaper, yet just as beautiful place somewhere else that will make you feel excited and welcomed and confident with your event. Like a previous review said, I would definitely attend an event/ wedding here because of the beauty, but would never choose it as a place to plan my own or someone else's event. read more

The Montecito Country Club is a beautiful venue!! It is the perfect place for your wedding! We were first resistant to considering this location because we didn't want to get married in a "stuffy country club", but this place is NOT that at all. The staff at the club are super nice and helpful, especially Kendra. She is so patient and is open to meet with you at any time to talk ideas and visions. The club requires a planner to be present on the day of the wedding, which at first we didn't like, but in the end this was the best decision. With the planner and Kendra working in the background we were able to relax and just enjoy our own wedding. For what you get at MCC, the price is extremely reasonable. I would recommend this venue to anyone. read more

This is just a review of our experience trying to book the ballroom for our wedding venue. I had a terrible experience working with some of the staff here to book our wedding. To be fair, some staffers were kind and tried to be helpful but it seems like there is a lot of confusion and conflicting information. There were issues with communications and responding; when we would call/email to get an update or ask a question we would hear nothing back. The final disappointment was when they took a deposit from another couple for the date that they had verbally agreed to hold for us. I think this is a nice venue (good views), but the customer service and responsiveness needs improvement. read more

Just recently played the course for the very first time.It does take some getting used to, with all the undulation in the fairways and greens. That being said, it was a great place to golf. Challenging fast greens, kikuyu fairways(like Riviera CC) and awesome views of the ocean from the hilltop. Food was exceptional and the service staff was top notch. Great time had by all. read more
