Dr. Rebecca Hsieh is my son's pediatric dentist, and we have been patients since the office first opened. When my son and I first walked into the office, we were amazed by the beautiful interior design and the welcoming atmosphere they created. The environment is warm, inviting, and very child-friendly. It feels like a fun kindergarten classroom, which helps ease my son's anxiety and makes dental visits much less stressful. Dr. Hsieh is incredibly sweet, patient, attentive, and highly skilled. Her treatment plans are thoughtful, thorough, and tailored to each child's needs. She takes the time to explain everything clearly and makes sure her young patients feel comfortable and cared for. Since becoming a patient, my son has actually enjoyed coming to the office for his dental checkups and treatments. We truly appreciate the wonderful care and positive experience they provide. I highly recommend Dr. Rebecca Hsieh and her office to any family looking for an exceptional pediatric dentist. read more

Awesome experience for toddlers and kids! I took my 2 year old. She had a blast, she was sad to leave ;) they have tvs on the ceiling for the kid to watch and stuffed animals for your kid to show how they brush the teeth. For my kiddo they just used a regular tooth brush to brush and examined how the teeth looked. Overall super positive experience! read more

Montclair Pediatric Dentistry - Sunglasses on and some brushing of the teeth! - Pediatric Dentists Near Me - Oakland, California

We had such a wonderful experience at Montclair Pediatric Dentistry for my child's first dental visit! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and so patient with us. They made my little one feel comfortable every step of the way--from the fun waiting area to letting us pick toothpaste flavors, and even practicing brushing on a stuffed animal first. The dentist was so gentle and kind during the knee-to-knee exam, explaining everything clearly and calmly. Even though there were a few tears, the team handled it with so much care, and my child bounced back quickly. We left with a smile, a prize, and a great first impression. I'm so grateful we found this office! read more

Such a wonderful and warm practice! It is truly centered on the child and is a beautiful space. We recently had an urgent situation where my toddler had a cracked tooth that required an extraction. The staff squeezed us in for a same-day urgent appointment and Drs. Lina and Rebecca were so thorough and kind throughout the process. Dr. Lina was emailing us recommendations and assurances late into the evening after hours. We were able to come in the next morning for the extraction and although it was a difficult experience for my toddler, the doctors and staff were so accommodating and supportive. They let us spend over an hour post-procedure in the waiting room to let my son play with their toys. I'm so happy with our experience and would heartily recommend MPD! read more

Just had my daughter's first visit here. We were late at this parenting responsibility, she is 4 and never seen a dentist. In short, she loved going to the dentist. She says it was lots of fun. From the play area when she arrived, to the TV on the ceiling where she could have her pick of Disney Plus, and of course the super kind staff- she was truly thrilled. And she wants to go back. Couldn't ask for a better experience. read more

They are so sweet and thoughtful. Great experience for my 1 and 3 year olds. So glad they are in the village!

I just want to say that I'm really appreciating Montclair Pediatric Dentistely and especially Lina Paek. We have a number of cavities on my toddlers teeth and it's taking me a long time to decide how I want to handle it. Lina has called me after work hours and had extensive conversations with me over email. She's knowledgeable about a wide range of treatments, and infinitely patient with me as I try to understand them. The last time we were in for a treatment I spent the entire hour equivocating and uncertain and she didn't push at all. I feel like she's completely on my side in wanting me to have every option and really comprehend them. She also has clear SDF, a new treatment that not all dentists offer. She's up to date and empathetic and just absolutely has my heart and gratitude. This dentist is actually out of our network and I absolutely don't care. They're worth a bit extra. read more

What a lovely experience! As a first-time mom, I was nervous at our first-ever dental exam and unsure what to expect. Dr. Rebecca and the entire staff were very understanding, kind, patient, and gentle. They treated me and my daughter with the utmost care and ensured it was a positive experience. The office is clean and comfortable. Their attention to detail is greatly appreciated, and we walked out of there looking forward to our next visit! I found Montclair Pediatric Dentistry on my insurance's website. I am happy to have found them. Dr. Rebecca was knowledgeable. She explained my son's current teeth health and went over preventative maintenance. I'm a first time mom with a ton of questions. She gave me the answers and tips that I needed to carry on. Dr. Rebecca was patient and kind with my two year old. This was his first time at the dentist, so he was scared and resistant. The entire team made him feel comfortable and safe. At the end of the appointment he did not want to leave. The team is welcoming, we were offered coffee/tea upon arrival. They have a beautiful play area for the kids. My son loved that they had Churro (dog) dressed up for Halloween as a taco lol. read more

We had a really good first visit! Dr. Lina and her assistant Viri were warm and engaging during the cleaning process. The staff was friendly and communicative leading up to our appointment so we knew exactly what to expect. Their space is beautifully designed with kids in mind and feels very inviting. Love the woodland themed vibe! We also couldn't be happier with the location in Montclair as it's been difficult to find a pediatric dentistry that takes multiple types of insurance in the area and feel blessed to have found this dentistry. read more

I found Dr. Hsieh through a friend who referred her daughter to Dr. Hsieh as a Pediatric Dentist. Recently, the filling on one of my teeth came off, causing me pain when eating, drinking, or brushing my teeth. Since I am an asian female and better in Mandarin, I wanted to find an Asian doctor who could speak Mandarin to treat me. I was fortunate to find Dr. Hsieh. Not only is Dr. Hsieh sweet, caring, loving, and considerate, but she also speaks fluent Mandarin, which made me feel very secure and comfortable during treatment. While treating me, Dr. Hsieh patiently explained each step of the treatment, which put me completely at ease knowing that I was in good hands. Dr. Hsieh is highly professional and efficient. She quickly resolved my issue, and I left the clinic feeling happy. I highly recommend Dr. Hsieh - she is the best! read more

As a parent, we can't say enough good things about Montclair Pediatric Dentists. Our recent experience with Dr. Lina and Dr. Rebecca left a lasting impression because their commitment to embracing technology blew me away. From digital x-rays to innovative treatment methods, they're at the forefront of dental care for kids. plus, their dedication to sustainability speaks volumes. It's reassuring to know that they're not only caring for our children but also for the environment they'll inherit. What really sets them apart, though, is their deep involvement in the Montclair community. It's evident that they genuinely care about the families they serve, going above and beyond to support local initiatives and events. And let me tell you, the staff's warmth and genuine concern for our little ones' well-being are truly remarkable. From the moment we walked in, they made us feel like part of the family, ensuring our child felt comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire visit with TV on the ceilings and we see how they are caring mothers and women owned. The office feels homey and not corporate and it's such a smart and practical community business and let's not forget about their therapy dog, who added an extra layer of comfort and joy to the experience. My husband and I, and most importantly our 2 year old son, absolutely loved our first experience at the Montclair Pediatric Dentistry, or any dentist for that matter. Dr. Rebecca and her team were incredibly friendly, warm and thoughtful. We were greeted with a personalized welcome sign and an abundance of toys and games for various ages as well as other fun distractions to keep our son occupied while being examined. Dr. Rebecca truly has an amazing way with children and made our son feel very comfortable with her at all times during the appointment - even when she was flossing his teeth! We had a great experience here. We've tried several different pediatric dentists over the years and feel so lucky to have found Montclair Pediatric Dentists! Everyone in the office was warm and helpful. Their office is new, clean, kid-friendly and beautiful. Before we even started, Dr. Lina noticed a food allergy in my daughter's health history and she provided the ingredient list of the materials they use, ensuring safety. The dental hygienist, Viridiana, and Dr. Lina did the most careful and extensive cleaning compared to my daughter's past dentists. They were gentle and explained the process thoroughly. Dr. Lina was so detailed in addressing my concerns, explaining what she observed, and providing referrals to other trusted specialists. Even with a one hour commute, my daughter loved her visit and is happy to go back! read more

After a decade of working alongside some of the most respected pediatric dentists in the Bay Area, Dr. Lina has opened a practice here in Montclair. As any parent can attest to, caring for children in general is difficult. Now imagine trying to care for your children's teeth, with needles and drills! We love Dr. Paek's warmth and gentle demeanor. She explains everything to your child using age appropriate terminology and also reiterates the whole treatment plan with the parent. No detail is overlooked in her office, from the materials she uses in treatment to the décor in the practice. Apparently, Dr. Lina is also well versed in treating children under sedation and also has hospital privileges for treatments under general anesthesia. She really has created a dental home for my child. Although my child still prefers the playground, she gets super excited about going to the dentist now. So many thanks, Dr. Lina! read more

Took my kids to Montclair Pediatric Dentistry this morning and it was a great experience. Dr. Lina was kind, thorough and engaging with my children. The office staff were super friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I would highly recommend MPD! We took our two kids there for the first time. My three year old had been to two dentists and both bad experienced where I thought he was just always going to be afraid. He was instantly at ease in the space and the dental assistant made him feel comfortable to where he even tolerated a teeth cleaning. My 18 month old had his first appt at the same time and he also had a great time. The space is great - clearly lots of thought and care went into making it comfortable for kids and the dentist gave helpful clear feedback that didn't make me feel shamed as a parent. Working with Dr. Hsieh for our family has been such a wonderful experience and their office has the sweetest ladies where they greeted us and took us in right away versus some other offices make us wait 10-15 minutes, and as a busy professional - every minute counts!! Having gone to a few dental offices across the Bay Area, Montclair Pediatric Dentistry, feels like a spa-like experience vs a traditional doctor's office - they have nice technology and use sustainable products which we really love to help the environment and community. Dr. Hsieh was also very friendly and educational with her process and was able to address our teeth with precision and care and and always feel so fresh and clean after working with her and her team! Highly recommend and can't wait to bring the whole family here. read more

(This is the same review that I posted on Google reviews, but I also wanted to post it on Yelp, as excellent service deserves shout-outs and praise on various platforms). Dr. Lina is the best! We had a great experience at her new office. My kids had previously seen Dr. Lina at a different location, and they wanted to continue seeing her as their dentist. It is challenging to find a pediatric dentist that is a good match for my kids, so we were more than happy to follow her to her new location. Treating kids can be difficult, so I appreciate Dr. Lina's swift hand skills, her comprehensive approach towards treatments and prevention, and her ability to communicate effectively with both kids and parents. I also appreciate Dr. Lina's efforts to preserve the natural tooth as much as possible, with a focus on prevention and long-term health. As someone who has experienced dental trauma as a child, it is important to me to find a pediatric dentist that values a preventative and proactive approach towards my kids' dental health (for healthy, strong teeth as adults). Also, her office is beautiful and welcoming! My kids really enjoyed their visit. I cannot recommend Dr. Lina enough! read more
