a tray of ribs and ribs

The food was really weak, I've ordered from here a few times through delivery and every time there has been missing items or the food has just looked downright disgusting, this time it was both issues. I ordered 55$ worth of food and they gave me disgusting ribs that have meat on half or less, they forgot my side and all of the sauces aswell. Picture below of the "famous" Montana's ribs *these have not been touched yet

My wife and I spent a weekend in Thunder Bay. A spontaneous road trip for us. Out looking for a restaurant that is moderately priced, we came about Montana's. Restaurant is themed with the great outdoors decor. Staff were friendly and quick to seat us. Entry way is a bit cramped, but the lines moved quick to seat us. We were seated at a high-top by request and our waiter was wonderful. He looked like David Bromstad from HGTV. I ordered the chicken fried steak and a Coors Light. My wife ordered the ribs and a Molson. Both beers were served COLD and were wonderful. Our dinners were absolutely wonderful too. Fresh, hot and tasteful. My wife lived in Texas for years and said they were good ribs. That's says a lot!!! Way better than the ribs we had at Rib Fest in Thunder Bay the other night. Our bill was brought to us and we were pleasantly surprised, as we paid more for a breakfast that was mediocre at a different restaurant.

This place was ok. They seemed a little understaffed. The side salad was really good!

Just yer usual Montana's, and not one of the best of breed. Standard stuff. Convenient if you are staying at Days Inn.

The fire cracker burger is the bomb! Our kids love it here. Service can be a tad slow.

I come to Canton for dim sum frequently, and have been coming for more than a decade. Decor and…read moreservice is pleasant. I find the dim sum dishes very flavourful and there is a nice variety. One disappointment is the pan fried shrimp paste stuffed green peppers... because they no longer use green pepper. It was my favourite item. They use red pepper which is alright but not the same. Some favourites of mine are the deep fried fish cakes (little strips of firm fish, deep fried), calamari (very salty but I like it like that), curry beef samosa, deep fried shrimp wrap with mixed fruit salad dressing (it's mayo I think), sticky rice, steamed bean curd rolls, red bean paste cakes (flat and dry, but I like it), deep fried savoury triangles ("footballs", dough is crispy outside and gummy inside with sweet and savoury pork filling), and siu mi. Make sure to get some chili oil!

These two dishes were: the yeung chow fried rice and the stir-fry vegetables and vermicelli.. and honestly, I don't get his hype. The rice was pretty good, fair. It was stir-fried so that each grain of rice was evenly coated, the texture of the rice was slightly al dente, and there were a fair number of shrimps. But the vegetables and vermicelli pot?! Dayuuuum, I swear they used half a bottle of oil to make that stir fry. The pores on my face had already began to clog from just staring into that pot of regret. In part, I would argue that my poor review of this place is because I'm a Chinese person who's from Markham (the Chinatown of GTA) so I've had much better Chinese food... but ironically, so is my boyfriend and yet he still claims that the food here is better. I guess in considering that it IS Thunder Bay, the food isn't bad but what I really couldn't get over was the ridiculous pricing. Closing in at around $15 for each dish, I couldn't help but to think of how the same thing back home would cost less than half that price.

We asked for a table near the window, so we could look out and enjoy the view of the bay but it needed to be cleared. The waitress seamed irritated by this and told us to go sit in the lobby and wait until it was clear. A second waitress came to seat us was not as grumpy but still seamed a bit off. We ordered a burger and a salad, basic items. The burger was overcooked, we asked for a salad with mixed green garden lettuce, but it was served with just Romain lettuce, And finally, we found a hair in the salad. They took 20% off the bill but it was still gross. I heard the table behind us behind us complaining about their food as well and they got 20% knocked off their bill for something that went wrong. We were definitely disappointed with the high prices that this restaurant charges and the quality of food we were presented with With so many incredible restaurants within walking distance, being in this high-end neighborhood and associated with the Marriott hotels, this restaurant is way off brand.

Great space as well. They have a BBQ theme for the meats and this results in some of the best chicken wings I have ever had. And I am well travelled. The menu is reasonably priced which is a pleasant surprise. Besides one cranky server the service from the staff has been great.
