I cleaned the home thoroughly and followed the proper procedures in turning in keys etc. A few days later, I went in to pick up my security deposit. I got my full deposit back and a very nice thank you note with a $25 gift card for keeping the property in such good condition. I would rent from them again in a heartbeat. They were always professional and prompt with any maintenance issues. A huge thank you to all the staff at Cardinal. Rented from them for 5 years. They have the market on rentals here in the Bitterroot valley.(…read morefamily owned monopoly on many businesses) Will steal at least 30 to 40% of your damage deposit for normal wear and tear use of the rental. I hired a professional cleaner and paid over $300.00 they still charged me 157.00 for extra cleaning to get the unit "up to their standard" was the response I got. Their office staff has no idea what their maintaince guy is doing. He charged 15.5 hrs to paint and patch holes in the walls that I had already fixed. He said he had to get matching paint....I left the paint they had used by the previous tenent on the counter of the unit! Do not rent form them if you can help it! All I can do is dispute the charges. so far the are refunding for a garage door remote that I never recieved per the move in log on keys and such items. But this is how the operate...they charge without looking at their paperwork. They assume that the tenent will not put up a fight over 50.00! And they do this over and over, all the time skimming off the top of your deposit! I have video evidence of the move out condition and the reciepts to prove my position.

We live on a ranch that has had a few problems and they have been so quick and fast to send people out to fix and repair. They care on a personal level. customer service like it use to be. UPDATE: We rented with Real Property Management in Hamilton and had a great experience until we…read moremoved out. We planned to buy a home and needed to move out early, fully prepared to pay the fee for early termination. We contacted them months before to let them know what we were planning and Robert, who I presume to be the owner, said he would work with us and waive the early termination fee since they were confident they could get it rented quickly. So we started our house hunting, expecting to use those funds for our new home. Once it was time to move out, we were told we were told by Heather in writing that we would be getting a good portion of our deposit back. In good faith, we paid the remainder of the rent, trusting that they would send the check in the mail as they promised. We ended up getting $0 returned our deposit with no prior communication about why. I went back and forth with Robert but he refused to stand by his word. My family feels robbed by this organization, so I would not recommend them. Affordable housing has become increasingly challenging in the Valley and Real Property Management isn't helping. PS: they hound you for a review when you move in and things are going well. So, take that into account when you see all the positive reviews on here.
