Getting a key is very interesting... everything is done through a tiny slot in the office, and returning the key afterwards is the same kind of thing... makes you wonder just what you are getting yourself into. However, when I got into the room, there were no issues... it was clean and livable, if a bit...eccentric... For instance, the paintings in the room are not your typical hotel paintings of fruit or whatnot... no, instead I had a print that looked French Renaissance. However...there were two paintings in the room...and they were identical! Oh, but we are not done... I went to fill a water bottle in the bathroom...only to find that both knobs on the faucet in the sink were linked to the hot water supply...warm water in my bottle! So yeah, there are some oddities, but for the price you really can't beat it.

It is located behind a gas station/truck stop sort of spot a little northeast of town - felt safe enough, and is a pretty isolated area overall. This is a family-run establishment and the innkeepers were professional enough. We had used Priceline and were placed in a room which was apparently a smoking room, and the staff was kind enough to move us to another room (still with a whiff of smoke, but not uncomfortably so) without much trouble. It was a quiet night here, no problems at all. The room was clean and came with some basic soaps. A continental breakfast was offered the next morning, but we went to Hardee's. Bottom line: this is a no frills stay, but it's clean and the price is right - if you are in the area looking for luxury and pampering ... wait, then why are you in Monroe County?

I came to stay there because my dad was in the hospital deteriorating and I needed a safe place to mourn. I absolutely was so disgusted and hysterical! I got my key card and wrote a note to refund my money. I had to go back and ring the bell. I waited and no one came and I left it in the window. I was so traumatized that I just got in my car and left to find a new safe place to go. The man's name was "Vicki". I was there less than 40 minutes!!! To had to wait 3 days to call the manager, "Nick", to get a refund. I went in today and rang the doorbell to the window. No lobby. No welcoming entrance. They refused to give me any refund! They said I didn't complain enough and if I would've they would've given me a different room! No Thank you!! One disgusting room was enough!!!
