Girl at the front desk asked for my insurance card and proceeded to tell me I didn't have that insurance. Uhh yes I do. (I think I know what insurance I have.) She insisted I didn't have the insurance I have. Rude as all get out. I left and went down the road to Well Now and no problems at all. The people were so nice there. Don't go to urgent care. Maybe they need to retrain their desk people to know what they're doing. And to change the nasty attitude. Will never walk in that place again!!!! read more

By far my worst experience coming here. Came in with a bad flu that had me bogged down for 3 days, had to miss a day of work today so I came in to Urgent care like I've done for the past few years to get a prescription to help speed up my recovery so I can do my job, its really that simple. Worst NP I have ever had at this urgent care. Rude, unfriendly, snippy and just a bad attitude. Honestly made me feel like I shouldn't even had bother walking in that day. Look I get it, the medical field is hard, patients can be difficult to deal with, there's stress and tension everywhere. That's no excuse for a bad attitude, if you don't care about the people your taking care of, then you are in the wrong career. However if you do care then you need to be more self aware of how your body language and vocal tone are being communicated to your patient. Its not WHAT you say, its HOW you say it. All it takes is one bad experience for a patient to seek care elsewhere from somebody who provides better service. Unfortunately I'm done with Monroe Urgent Care. Now I know why they don't want their patients filling out surveys about their experience. I do not recommend this center anymore, there's an urgent care in Dundee with a much better staff. The office experience I had was horrendous. I went in for vertigo and nausea and explained that I could not see straight enough to properly fill out paperwork. The receptionist then proceeds to be rude and interrupt me continually while making me feel extremely disrespected. Honestly I don't believe that I've ever been so disrespected. She also told my fiancé that I was a liar and that I needed to watch my tone. DO NOT GO HERE FOR QUALITY CARE! There probably should be more professional training for their staff as they apparently don't know how to hold their bearings in a professional setting. read more

Came in for an ear infection and they barely checked me in the room and said that I had a sinus infection and ear infection without even looking in my ear and sent me on my way without even telling me what medication I was getting. Tried asking and he wouldn't tell me what prescription I was receiving. I then told him to send it to Walmart and they sent it to a completely different store. Sent the prescription to Walgreens instead and instead of giving my prescription they gave me over the counter stuff because it was the same thing and would save me money. Please don't waste your time coming here. This place should be shut down. read more

I'm sitting in the waiting room as I write this. I was told by my primary doctor to go to an urgent care RIGHT NOW!! I'm experiencing shortness of breath and a horrible cough. First I was told I had to pay before I would be seen. Then I'm told "don't worry you'll be taken right back." The 5th person was just taken back before me. And a 6th was called. But they got smart and left. So yeah my turn. The room is dirty. I feel like my house is more sanitary with my husky that's shedding . The exam room is freezing which is the exact opposite of the waiting room. Can't imagine that's good for the health of the patients. All in all, unless you're bleeding to death go somewhere else. A witch doctor, a voodoo priestess or just put leaches on. What's the worst that can happen? read more

I went in for an eye infection on Thursday. I paid for a visit, paid for a prescription, used the prescription as advised and got worse. Four days later I called and was told to come back in, only to be told when arriving that I needed to pay a second time to be seen even though the treatment didn't work the first time. I'm completely flabbergasted that I'm paying two times for the exact same service. I would absolutely not recommend and I will absolutely not return. read more

I've gone a few times for a few different reasons. Going to do a drug test the place is a ok. The people are friendly which is why it for two stars. They completely misdiagnosed me to the point to was almost comical. I was prescribed multiple things I didn't need. In short it seemed like they were just trying to get as much money as possible. I would not recommend going here. It would be better to go to the ER if you are really sick. read more

Terrible customer service. Big blonde at front desk was so rude. If you don't have one of their few insurances they won't let you even send the bill to your home. My insurance covers out of state urgent care and they still wouldn't. Also you can't pay with American Express. $100 up front which isn't bad but that's just to get seen. I went in for a shot. not good with those. or blood draws. or anything sharp for that matter. But they helped me through everything, have me the medications, shots and help I needed to not pass out and vomit on the floor! Staff is very nice, and well organized. small waiting room but very clean and youre in and out before you know it. PS- The staff is freaking hilarious. I have used Monroe Urgent Care several times over the past 18 months. The wait time is usually not too bad and I have been treated very well by the staff. The medical care has been quite satisfactory and PA Tom has always been considerative, attentive and provided competent care that solved my issues. The facility seems as clean as any medical office and the in-site pharmacy is so very convenient. The pharmacists have been helpful as well. read more

I saw the dr. and he wrote a prescription - as soon as I sat down to wait for it in the lobby I got a text message saying "Text back AGREE to receive a savings offer for your recent prescription(s)"! WTF!!! I did not AGREE to receive text messages from this place or anyone else they sold my information to!!!! There is NO PRIVACY anymore! SMH I am so sick of businesses gathering and using my private information without my knowledge or permission - and this is my personal MEDICAL INFORMATION! Went in last night to get my prescriptions renewed like I have for the last five years every three months or so. I have had health insurance off and on for that time as I changed my employer. I signed in , and the receptionist came over and informed me I had a past due balance of 60 dollars, because my insurance did not pay it. I told her. I would pay for visit and give 20 dollars towards the balance, JUST LIKE LAST VISIT. She said pay full balance or no service. I am Diabetic, and have high blood pressure and informed her I needed my medicine as I ran out two weeks ago and could not afford to come in till today. She refused me service still. I have been a patient there for over five years and have never had any problems like this. All about the money grab. So much for caring about there patients. She should be fired. was rude and was very bitchy. read more

Incompetent fools. My son had a very minor dog bite and the doctor glued the wound shut. Little did I know it's apparently wound care 101 that a bite should never be sealed this way. The tiny wound ended up infected and swollen causing him to need an additional antibiotic. Future I will spend the time and money on a longer ER visit versus using urgent care. Our pediatrician was so disgusted she questioned how any licensed physician would not know better. read more
