Joe is extremely responsive, he sent links suggesting fabric options based on what I told him about our home and tastes, he gave really good advice about what to include/not include in the job, and - I suppose most importantly - the final product looks fantastic. I would absolutely go back to Joe for any other similar work, and recommend him highly.

The electric awning worked perfectly for us since then until just recently, when the extending and closing mechanism seemed to develop a mind of its own. I believe the true measure of a company's character is the after-sales response to a reported problem. Sandy was every bit as accommodating and attentive to my issue as if she was on the cusp of a major new sale. My calls were promptly and graciously returned, and as they did the trouble-shooting, I was kept informed of the status and next steps. An on-site service was required, and the team arrived as scheduled and could not have been more professional. The problem was resolved within 3 days of being reported to Ocean Tailors! There are many retractable awnings on the market; but if you want top quality in both product and service, Ocean Tailors can't be beat! I am one happy long-time customer!

This is a long overdue review for a splendid business. Last year Kevin and Pamela did a complete…read moreoverhaul of a much-loved mid-century couch that has been in my family for 3 generations. (Re-tied the springs, re-glued the wood frame, *and* reupholstered it!) I was looking for true craftsmen (craftspeople?) that would appreciate and uphold the artistry of the original piece, and I found that in Upholstery on Broadway. (See photos for the transformation.) They are (unsurprisingly) not the cheapest, but I thought their price was reasonable, they stuck to their quote, and their work is absolutely worth the cost. And Kevin delivered the couch when they were done. I could not be more pleased!

Who knew that furniture disassembly and reassembly was a thing? I certainly didn't until I treated…read moremyself to an extra cozy Boston Interiors sectional and the sofa portion wouldn't fit up my front or back staircase. Whoops! I had already been waiting two months for delivery, so to say I was disappointed is an understatement. Then the panic kicked in. Since it was a custom sectional, I would get majorly dinged if I returned it. But what other options were there? That's where Melo and Sons came in. The delivery guy put me on the phone with his manager to talk it over. Yes, returning the sectional was an option, as was taking out my dining room window to bring the sofa portion in that way (hell no!) Or... I could have some pros disassemble it at their warehouse then reassemble it in my living room. Of my three options, the third was the winner by a longshot. As I was the first delivery of the day, I patiently waited until Melo and Sons opened then gave them a ring. Joanne immediately answered and put my nerves at ease. It was obvious I wasn't the first numpty to purchase a too big piece of furniture that needed saving by them. After providing her all the requested information, I had a delivery date for about three weeks out. By the time my Boston Interiors salesperson called to discuss the failed delivery, everything was already tucked and tied with Melo and Sons. When the big day finally arrived, Mike and George showed up right on time and quickly got to work. They laid down moving blankets to protect the floor then brought up the disassembled sofa in several carefully wrapped pieces. Aside from being the consummate professionals, they were funny to boot. It took them less than two hours to reassemble the sofa and at long last reunite it with its other half. That evening, after three long months, I finally got to relax on and enjoy my sectional in its full glory. All thanks to Melo and Sons and their niche specialty.

Even though they specialize in upholstery, Badger Coachworks sets the gold standard for quality,…read moreafter-market products for Land Rover enthusiasts across the country (and beyond!). From start to finish, my experience with Chris (the owner, designer, fabricator, land rover enthusiast, and all around nice guy) was very positive. I had heard about Badger tops through multiple internet forums and then contacted him over a year ago to discuss what I was looking for in a replacement top for my Defender. Several months later I called him again to place an order. He already had a few designs on his website to pick from but offered further customization if necessary and was always willing to talk about the unique benefits of each design in order to help select the top that is right for me. It's important for everyone to note that fabricating a custom, hand crafted product such as a large canvas soft top takes time (months, not weeks). The folks at Badger do their best to deliver your order as quickly as possible, but let me be the first to tell you that it is worth every minute of waiting. The quality of the soft top is absolutely incredible. The fit and finish is second to none. Anyone who has wrestled with the factory soft tops of Jeeps, Land Rovers, Land Cruisers, Broncos, etc. knows that their tolerances are beyond awful making them nearly impossible to put on without either damaging the top or your own body. Badger tops are the complete opposite. It's as if they were cut with laser precision and are stunningly easy to mount by a single individual without any additional help. I chose the canvas top which is significantly thicker than the factory top which provides better thermal and sound insulation. Once mounted, they fit snugly, are easy to adjust and tighten, and look fantastic. This is by far the best investment that I've made for my Defender. It's not every day that you run into a company that still takes such incredible pride in their craftsmanship. My hats off to Chris and his team! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their Land Rovers.
