If your type is big, strong and handsome [BUILDINGS!], Full Frame Theater's Boiler Room has YOUR name all over it (him? her?). This incredible space welcomes guests entering Full Frame Theater, as well as sometimes its neighbor, The Power Plant Gallery. It's a VERY unique event venue flanked by mammoth coal-fired boilers that were used in the original building. You can admire the elevator shaft to the right of the front door, or envision the unseen inside (but very visible outside) base of the Lucky Strike smokestack which The Boiler Room "horeshoes" around. Enormous windows, concrete floors and brick walls give this space the perfect impression for any event [can I plan my next birthday party here?!] No space has ever scream contemporary meets historic so clearly! Plus, doors are open 9am-midnight, SEVEN days a week, so there truly is no reason to miss this drool-worthy space. There seems to be two interior dining ares (one with an upstairs balcony) plus a patio and then an open grassy area. It looks like they host many wedding receptions and other special events. Upon making that decision, we only considered Bay 7 and The Pavilion. Bay 7 was the perfect spot for our many out-of-town guests. They were able to stay at a hotel within walking distance and explore the American Tobacco Campus when not at a wedding event. If you have ever been to the Angus Barn, you expect exceptional service at Bay 7 and you will not be disappointed. As vegetarians, we cannot vouch for most of the meals (though all our guests raved), though the vegetarian option we chose was delicious. Wendy, our contact, said that though it is not served at Angus Barn regularly, if we reach out before we head there, they'd even whip up our wedding meal for us! Wendy had everything covered. I had zero stress about the reception thanks to this team. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you, Wendy and the entire Bay 7 team, for working with us to have our perfect wedding day.

We always tip well and thus left a tip of 25%, so in all, they received an extra 35%. It would be good to be informed about this up front, or better yet, that they are paid more to not need that extra charge. If we had been told, we may have adjusted our tip accordingly.
