Our initial communication was awesome, Kaylin was quick to respond and seemed to have good availability within a reasonable timeframe. I was definitely on the fence about the actual procedure, as I wasn't sure I wanted to commit to the permanent aspect of microblading - I think we have all seen bad examples of it, and I made the decision to not get it, independent of Kaylin's work. When I tried to cancel the appointment, explaining I changed my mind, 5 weeks before the scheduled time, I got a hard pushback about not getting my deposit back, which I thought was pretty frustrating given the ample time I had allowed for her to book another client. I don't appreciate that policy, given that our interaction was limited to a few text messages and for that, I'm out $100. I understand why she may not want to waste her time on people who end up being no-shows, but I think there should also be a level of discernment for each situation.
