I know you're probably thinking "seen one, seen them all" (I know I was) but this location definitely stands out. There was a short line when I walked in but I was acknowledged right away; on top of that the line moved quickly despite the fact that only 2 people were staffed (1.5 hours to close). I came in with a very large check that I didn't think could be cashed but the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to cash me out in 15 minutes! That doesn't seem incredible, but I had just wasted 5 hours with another check cashing store that gave me the run around so please trust me when I say it was nothing short of a miracle!! Go here, these guys are great. And there's a $10 referral bonus if you've been there before and you bring in a friend =) read more

High interest rates, rude women who work at this branch. I have never been so disrespected in my life as when I walked in to this branch at 120th and Washington. Every other money tree is great. The employees and manager at this one are rude, and lazy. Don't go to this branch. The young woman manager doesn't know what she's doing. read more

I go to this Money Tree every pay day to pay bills and load my pre-paid card. I love Money Tree because it's a professional organization with really friendly staff. I would recommend this location for anyone that needs to do bill pay and loan transactions in a NON-ghetto establishment! It's great! read more

The tellers at the branch were always helpful and very pleasant, but when I would call the customer service line nothing I would talk to them about would translate to the other workers causing returns on the payments. I wish there was a separate way to give a review for the call center because they are absolutely HORRIBLE! But I will still give this individual branch a 5 star rating because, like I mentioned, they were great!

Tay Do Check Cashing

First off, I believe in karma and good thing I do. This is a check cashing place attached to Tay Do…read moreAsian Grocery. They must have a good rate, since it's popular with many of my employees. Last year, one of my employees (a new guy) cashed his paycheck here, then came in Monday morning and said he lost it. I checked the bank, it hadn't gone thru so I 'Stop Paid' the check and reissued him one. That Thursday, the owner called me because I 'stop paid' a cashed check and my employee had tried to screw him. Now, I guess I could have told him he's out of luck and I know a few business owners that would have, but that's not very neighborly so I said "bring in the check, I'll pay it". Sure enough, he had a copy of my employee's ID and the check. I had him confront my employee, and I docked his pay the amount he screwed this guy for. My employee quit later that day. Now, a year or two later. This guy calls me. He had a counterfeit check written on my bank account. All the account numbers matched. The signature (was scanned) matched. Our check logo matched and the check number was within issued range. Since my employees go there, he recognized that the color and style of the check was wrong. It was a "Office Depot" special (they sell blank paycheck paper to allow people to make forgeries). He called me, that moment to alert me. THANK YOU SIR!!! He told me, he would fully cooperate with the police to help identify the person. In fact, he had her ID, cause he was holding it in his hand when he yelled at her "this is a fake check, I'm calling the police". She ran out to her car without it. He identified the gal from police mug shots. She's hit 5-6 other places... damn meth whores. I had to close my damn payroll account on a Friday 2 hours before issuing checks. I have no lesson in any of this, just a reinforcement of my core belief in karma (what comes around goes around). I'm glad I was pleasant to this guy in our first meeting. I gave him no trouble, and he returned the favor. Again, thank you.
