Shedrow, a Canadian brand of dog coats is IT. Got a cute coat for my pup, and was tempted by many of their other offerings, but a girl's suitcase is only so large. This shop had a great selection of all sorts of pet products, and way nicer outerwear (Duh, it's Canadian) than anyplace I've seen in the US.

Two women employees were talking about their love life for a long time. Everyone in the store was staring as well. Usually when you see a potential customer bent over awwwing at the cage of guinea pigs you would come up and strike up a conversation hoping to make a sale. I know more about how long she's been single then how old The baby guineas were. Love coming by to visit and look for little furry love bugs to buy. Hope next time it's better.

We came across Pattes et Griffes on Mont-Royal which is another chain pet store like Mondou. They had a LOT of merchandise in this location so it was quite right, and there was also a LOT of people so it was even tighter. COVID wise this was a bit of a concern but at the same time it's an essential service and I appreciate that people are so supportive of their pets and a pet store. The five stars comes from the exceptional service we received from the folks working there. They heard us taking about our cat needing a harness and they immediately pointed us to the right direction. When they saw we needed help, they came to us and helped. They even let Kimchi try on the harnesses for sizing! They were honestly so nice and we really appreciated their time. Overall, a great experience in this pet store.

Jennifer takes care of the grooming here and she is amazing, she cut my cat's hair with nary a peep out of her, always talking to her and cuddling her. She asks that the owners stay with the pets so it helps them feel comfortable. My mom's cat is another story, 12 pounds of fury that growled, hissed and yelled, and then finally crapped in the corner of the table and refused to go back in her cage. Even then, Jennifer did not lose her cool and only partially charged us even though her time was taken up. I would never go elsewhere, the selection of food is pretty good and lots of toys for the animals. The clientele seems pretty loyal as well as a friendly staff.

From the…read moreoutside, it doesn't look that huge but when you enter - it's a very spacious, beautiful pet store! It's probably the biggest boutique-ish pet store we've been to so far. They have frequent animal visitors and allow for pets inside, which is always a joy. We were able to bring Kimchi inside to explore and try out some sweaters! The service was excellent and the folks working were so nice. They were very patient and let us roam and browse. The best part is that it's quite spacious so you don't have to be worried about being too close to other people. Covid wise, they have masks and hand sanitizer as well as a protective barrier between you and the staff at the cash. They have an excellent collection of toys, treats and food (plus accessories like clothes). Everything is reasonably priced! One of the cool things about this location is that they have cats for adoption. They had two cats at the moment that people could potentially adopt, which is a great way to get folks to see a new cat and a great place to home cats as well (given they have the supplies and what not).
