Because I didn't care much about pleasantries nor did I want to waste time in my search for a medium sized classic flap bag in caviar with gold hardware because they are notoriously difficult to find in Hong Kong, I approached a sales associate. My SA seemed new as she needed assistance, and she was relaying me incorrect information as the receipt was being signed. While I waited for my bag to be wrapped, there was no offer of water but there was additional up-selling when I had already mentioned I was only after the purse. It wasn't until after I informed her that I already had the sunglasses she was trying to sell me (because I genuinely did just purchase Chanel aviators) that she finally stopped. She also kept mentioning that I was from Canada when I informed her I was from America which made conversation rather awkward because I didn't feel it was polite to correct her. I would've expected my shopping experience in Hong Kong to be a little more glamorous, but it was incredibly underwhelming.

The alley, which doesn't even have a name, is easily accessible, being the entrance for MTR exit D2. Prices here are likely cheaper than any other established service of a similar nature. For 陳富記, (plastic) cobbling for a pair of shoes sets you back HK$90 with a next-day pick up. I had my shoes shined as well for HK$45 a pair. Naturally, they also have on-the-spot shoe shine service where you sit down for around 5-10 minutes while he glosses up your shoes; the price is different I believe, but I have yet to confirm. If you have patina or other more exotic shoes, I would recommend you go somewhere else for your shoe care.

It took me one hour to walk through and made some short stops at the stores . There were stores for Korean fashion , handbag store, store of traditional Chinese formal wear for men and woman ( Qipao or Cheongsam 長衫），a few stores that sells collectibles and Sanrio's, some stores with 100 % cotton tops in high quality and nice designs , etc etc The basement is a huge food court and the difference cafes looked delicious with great menu . You can reach this Prudential center ( English name ) via MTR Jordan .It is easy to get to and convenient for shopping.

This is a very lovely multi level shopping centre. It has many shops (Optometrists, Clothing…read moreStores, Tailor, CD/DVD Store, Children's Store, Ice Cream Store, etc.). It also has a couple of restaurants located in the basement level. The best thing about this centre is that it leads to the entrance to the MTR station. Most absolutely wonderful as you can avoid the various weather elements. Also absolutely wonderful as the entrance isn't crowded as you would encounter anywhere else. My dad and I used it a lot, when we stayed at the Prudential Hotel.

I have been a huge fan of Jimmy Choo since watching The Devil Wears Prada. To quote, "Face it Andy, you sold your soul the day you put on that first pair of Jimmy Choo's." Loved that movie and wow this store was tiny and super expensive in any currency. Once again, I didn't shop here, but I did take a picture for Yelp and poke my head in like a nosy tourist. GUILTY!

A medium-sized mall located right above the Heng Fa Chuen MTR station. It's sort of split into two…read moresections: their 3rd floor is connected by an walkway with an overhead covering, the 2nd floor is connected through the MTR station, and the ground floor is connected fully. In the mornings, there are occasionally elders up in the walkway doing tai chi, although they're usually done by 9am. There's a mix of stores in the mall, with most of the restaurants located on the ground floor (sushi, pizza, Shanghai food, Tai Hing, McDonalds, Thai restaurants). The 2nd floor is usually typical mall stores - clothing stores, make-up stores, Apollo ice cream store, massage chair store, Saint Honors bakery, Ming Garden dim sum restaurant. The 3rd floor is mainly taken up by Dao Heung restaurant (with hot pot offered) and Fusion on the other end. There's also a 759, Bank of China, HSBC, music/piano school, and Shell gas office. It's a nice place to take a stroll around, usually not too crowded and spacious enough. Transportation wise, it's pretty convenient by bus, green minivan and the MTR.

Little did I know that I might stumble upon this gem when I was on my way to the Café Pacific inside Shui On Centre. As I was taking the escalator to the second floor, I could not help but notice on my left was this colourful store that had stuffed animals, school bags, books on display and I was like "That looks cool". And it only got better. Turns out this place is called Bookazine and it has branches everywhere in Hong Kong. As a bookstore, Bookazine of course provides selection of magazines, stationery. However, the best part is that it has CANDY STAND there and the variety of candies there are unbelievable, most are from the States and I immediately acted like a school boy literally in a candy store grabbing all kind of sweet. Apart from that, they always have tote bags, greet cards, etc. On top of that, they also have kids corner (which is really thoughtful as the grownups are reading, the kids can read some children books or choose to relax throwing beanbags there). They mainly sell English books so now you have one more place to go to look for your books except Metro and the other one. On their website you may also order books there and have the delivery or pickup at the store as well. I would say that this is one of the best bookstores I have seen in Hong Kong with its superb service and most importantly, the candy stand... Actually I am quite surprised to have found this place as it is really hidden and I did not see one single customer there when I was there on that day... well, good for me to spend some alone time there then.
