We've been very happy with our experience at the WIDE school so far. Our daughter is having fun…read morebut also learning a lot. Their curriculum is play and project based, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. They have Spanish class, as well as optional gymnastics and soccer classes. They are very safe and cautious in terms of COVID pandemic rules -- and when the case load gets better for a prolonged time, then they reassess. One of the things my family has most appreciated is their COVID policy. All teachers wear masks, and all kids above a certain age (3ish) wear masks as well -- aside from when eating & optionally when playing outside. They have chickens outside, a flower and vegetable garden, and rabbits and 2 aquariums inside. Right now, some of the classes are raising caterpillars into moths and butterflies, and they have just harvested some of the chicken eggs and will get to incubate them and watch them hatch! Such great experiences for kids of all ages to have. They provide gourmet lunches made in-house from fresh ingredients, many of which are organic. On Friday afternoons, you can also buy some of their house-made goodies -- they have an assortment of baked goods, desserts, soups, and savory/main dishes. If you are late on Fridays, they may sell out of certain items.

The teachers are caring and everybody is nice and respectful. My concerns are always listened to and answered. The facility is clean and I haven't witnessed any disruptions or bad behavior from any of the teachers or directors. The only point I would have is I think they need more teachers in the infant a and b classes to avoid having to merge the kids into one class in early morning and late afternoon.

I debated on writing a review because Ms. Sara and Mickey are great people, but I feel the need to…read moremake other parents aware of the effects this place had on my child. I will start out by saying that having Mrs. Kahn as my daughters teacher was the biggest mistake I ever made as a parent. There would be times Mrs. Kahn would say," Oh your child wouldn't sit down in circle time and would go play with the toys instead, or I know her shirt has milk and paint all over it but she got upset when I tried to change her so I left it on." The first thought that came to my mind was," Aren't you the teacher?" My child wasn't bad at all, she was just excited to be in an environment with so many stimulating things in it, and as a teacher you would think her 15+ years of experience would've taught her how to handle those situations. It's as if she was so used to having perfect children and got flustered when a child didn't listen when she told them to do something the first time. And as far as my child learning anything, she didn't learn anything from her other than how to line up and go outside. The funny thing is when I would be on break from school or had her for the holidays, I would teach her the smallest things and my daughter would catch on so fast that everyone in my family could see an improvement. Why was it that she wasn't learning anything at school when she was there 5 days a week, but as soon as I taught her something on a 3 day break all of a sudden you see improvement? I'll tell you why, it's because Mrs. Kahn was NOT paying attention to my child and paid more attention to other children and was busy begging parents to give money or food to her for the parties she always threw (as if tuition wasn't enough). If she spent more time on educating the children then planning parties, maybe the children could actually learn something. My husband also would drop our daughter off and say to me ," Does she not like our daughter? She always gives us a look like she doesn't want her there, but when other children come in, she gets excited and gives them hugs." Also you know something is wrong with a teacher when the director pulls her own grandchild out of their class, and transfers them into another teachers class. In all since leaving within 3 months my child can count to 100 and can read at 3 years old, and it's all because I taught her and took her out of that school. My advice is to anybody looking at this school, DO NOT enroll your child in her class. She's obviously more focused on throwing parties and doesn't know a thing about teaching in a structured environment.

DO NOT RECOMMEND so much has happened with this year of my child attending this daycare. It started…read moreoff good and immediately shifted into a nightmare. My child was neglected by staff that sat on the floor on camera while another child pushed her into a book shelves after the incident happened she still say ok the floor very unbothered until another staff came running across the room to assist the situation. Addressed it with the front staff claimed they don't see it I stated it happened on camera apparently they have mock cameras because everytime you see something harmful happen to the child they will most definitely say they don't see so it's a figment of your imagination I guess. My child has contracted COVID, RSV and STRIP THROAT I addressed the sickness within her class after see the kid laying around teachers constantly wiping his nose and the OWNER and the then Director Sreeja lied to my face on several occasions saying the child was not sick just getting over a common cold but not contagious. Then lies on boo boo reports on what really happens to your child. The owner doesn't exhibit stable knowledge of how to professionally and safely to run her business she routes you to anyone in the front even to make a tuition payment that's the most knowledgeable thing you should know when running a business is how to get paid for your services. I've several meetings with her and the then director and not much changed. The turn over rate is very high there always having to get to know a new teacher. The now current director there Jamelly I don't feel is suitable for her role being that she's very spiteful and not truthful when speaking with same as the other director was I'm guessing this is a character trait to work within this facility that they will lie to your face and expect you to be ok will them learning to properly care for your child as the days go by. She covered for a teachers who miss kids I spoke with her about a teacher miss treating my child and of course the camera didn't catch it and the teacher denied it. I've spoken to the owner and the then curriculum coordinator now turn assistant director to about providing more learning assignments and progress on that was still coming along slowly. I strongly feel this location is and embarrassment to the Kids R Kids franchise which is why the child enrollment rating is low best advice move your child to surrounding schools that offer best education, accurate safety and trustworthy teachers and staff. High Don't Recommend this center of your wanting your child to elevate.

I wanted to love this place but the sugar land location is so poorly run, I just can't. It's a…read moregreat concept but the horrible customer service makes it not worth it, and in the end they lost our pieces and didn't care. 1. From the beginning, I had a subpar experience because the employee helping us make our pieces was new (which is fine, nobody can help that) but instead of explaining how to create the work or having a more experienced employee shadow her training, she kept getting frustrated and would say "here, I'll just show you" and ended up basically making the pottery for us. She was sweet but lacked training and patience, so she didn't let us make our own pottery. She also kept bantering with her colleague while we sat there waiting to hear what to do next. 2. Then 6 weeks goes by and we didn't hear back about our piece, my husband and I kept calling and finally after a week, someone answered and said yes it's ready. 3. Now we have painted and sent them to the fire and we went to pick it up this evening. They are moving locations and everything was packed up. The employee said he can't find it and it was probably recycled. The most they can offer is 50% off a new pottery experience. Taken aback, I said hey that's really uncool, and kind of messed up. He said we should have picked it up within 2 weeks and it's been almost 60 days. It's been exactly 40 days, and we just had Xmas and New Years, AND they're only open Thursday through Sunday. Nonetheless that is my blunder, I recognize that. Still, they can call someone before throwing away their pieces. The employee said, "We used to do that, but it was bad for business." 4. The final straw was when the employee said, "I'll look through on Monday at the warehouse to see if it's there," and my husband asked, "and you'll call us?" The employee said Yeah. My husband said, "and you have our number on file?" which prompted him to check in front of us. HE DIDNT EVEN HAVE OUR NUMBER! The guy was never planning on calling us because I was upset about our pieces possibly being thrown away. So they can take six weeks to notify us our pieces are ready, but we can't take 4 weeks to pick it up? They should admit our stuff was thrown away or lost because they're moving locations, not because we took an extra 2 weeks to pick it up. Neither the email that said it was ready nor the employees at time of painting indicated that we HAD to pick it up in two weeks or else they'll recycle our pieces. Almost every employee at this location has zero customer service training (except one lady who helped us paint our pieces). I have never felt so strongly about an establishment that I wrote an extensive review. My advise is to take your $ elsewhere. Makes sense why this location isn't even on Google maps, only Apple Maps. They probably had awful reviews. I'm so disappointed in Smashed & genuinely sad at how I've been treated.
