The American fast food chain Carl's Jr. has started to establish itself in Denmark, and I just had…read moremy first encounter with them in Næstved Storcenter. The restaurant is situated right across from the entrance to Bilka and features an open area with tables and comfortable seating where you can sit down and eat. Everything is nicely kept and clean, and the staff is friendly and alert. Waiting times were surprisingly short - even by custom orders (burger with no cheese). The menu is varied and there is something like 15 different burgers to choose from plus various side-dishes like onion rings, fries and the likes. Carl's Jr.s prices are generally on the high side compared to other fast food restaurants, but the quality of the food clearly reflects this. The burgers are large, they don't skimp on the lettuce and the meat is of a grade you don't normally expect to find in fast food. I ordered the guacamole/bacon burger and it was easily the best burger I have had in any fast food restaurant. Furthermore you get free unlimited refill if you buy a large soda, which is a nice detail. Highly recommended.
