The Bloomfield office for Dr. Bachara Barrak was THE WORST experience I have ever had at a doctors…read moreoffice. The front desk staff was RUDE and obnoxious. I showed up for an appointment on January 7th with my usual smile and upbeat personality. The girl at the front desk had an immediate attitude and did not even great me or say hello. All she said was "we tried to call you, the doctor is not in today". I explained VERY NICELY that I did not get a call from them to cancel my appointment. She never once said "I'm sorry", and instead had another girl look up my account and told me my appointment was for the 17th, and not the 7th (I have the card at home to prove they wrote thr 7th). I was still VERY PLEASANT even though I had just driven an hour to get to this appointment. The rude front desk girl said "you should have known your appointment wasn't today since you didn't get a reminder call from us two days ago". I explained that I was a new patient and didn't know their process of calling 2 days prior to an appointment. She ROLLED HER EYES at me and continued to say I should have known I didn't have an appointment because I didn't get a reminder call. Once she rolled her eyes at me, my nice demeanor was gone and I asked her "did you just roll your eyes at me" and she did it again!!!! I told her how very rude she was and she should never treat a patient like this - EVER ! She kept repeating that I should have known they call 2 days prior to remind you about an appointment, and wouldn't listen to me that I was a new patient and didn't know this process. At this point, another girl chimes in and says "your appointment is on the 17th and you can go now !" I told both of them how rude they were and they should be ashamed of themselves for speaking to a patient like this. I work at a hospital and have never seen this behavior from any of our staff. DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE. They do not deserve your business!

He also told him he was rapidly losing weight and Dr. P responded it was because of the diet my father was on. My father knew it was something worse and had to fight tooth and nail to get Dr. P to take him seriously and run tests. As a last resort, after TWO MONTHS of pain, my dad went to the ER and guess what? ITS CANCER. Dr. P had the ability to save my father's life and instead left him in the dust. The cancer is now in 3 different places. Thanks for being the absolute worst doctor in history and for literally IGNORING SIGNS OF CANCER. I hope this man rots.

After hanging up with the hostile "receptionist " I realized she didn't even ask for my husband's name or DOB but she did ask what type of insurance he has because she had to make sure it was through the private sector.
