BEWARE! DO NOT GET MEDICAL TREATMENT HERE! Upon moving to…read moreEast Peoria, my husband, age 67, established care with this facility under the guise that it's a great place for senior citizens. The first doctor that treated and prescribed my husband has since left, unbeknownst to us. When my husband called to have his meds refilled, he was in formed that he needed to come in and sign a drug agreement and provide a urine sample before his meds could be filled; NONE ARE OPIOID. After we arrived, we discovered his doctor was gone and the "doctor of the week" is Dr. Novella. My husband signed a 3 page drug agreement and provided a urine sample and was given one of his prescriptions by the attending nurse. At that time, Dr. NOVELLA burst into the room demanding prescription back because my husband didn't provide a large enough urine sample. Dr. Novella also said "I'm not getting my license revoked!" My husband takes 7 different medications including one for enlarged prostate that he was currently out of (explaining small urine sample). My husband agreed to come back later that day and provide larger sample because he can't pee on command. After about 2 hours, my husband returns to provide sample. This time, Dr. Novella watched and it took more than 10 minutes. I was in lobby and told front desk receptionist and manager what had happened and was being dehumanized by this substitute doctor. The manager apologized and said there would be a new doctor weekly. My husband walked out with scrip stating he would never return. My husband has a complicated health history and signed up for a primary doctor (meaning one) that would be able to manage his medications. Another issue is that Oak Street Health doesn't have a portal to access your medical records. This place is a horrible place to recieve care especially if you're a senior citizen on multiple medications. The front desk receptionist was very personable and nice.

Someone there went above and beyond this week so I wanted to give a Yelp in return…read more I went in over the weekend looking for "weed killer" to clean up the walkway along the house, as I'd seen a lot of outdoor stuff there before and didn't want to drive all the way to Lowe's. He said they didn't carry it but suggested a safer home remedy that he had used at his own home with Dawn and vinegar, set me up with the Dawn and told me what consistencies to mix and how often to treat based on his experience. He didn't try to make a big sale or send me away quickly because they didn't have what I needed and aren't that kind of store, just genuinely wanted to help. I really appreciated the advice (it totally worked by the way!!!) and wanted to applaud your store for the excellent customer service that seems to be so hard to come by these days. Thank you!

Got the text from CVS to pick up Rx. Gave birthdate to Canesha and she entered into computer. "No…read moreprescription" she said. I said wife got the text it was ready, could you look in the box for it? No response. Asked again, and she said there is none there. I asked her to physically walk the 3 steps to the box and look. She went the other way six steps, entered on another computer and she said no message was sent. I said my wife got a message from this CVS that her Rx was ready and I came out or my way to pick it up, and asked her to please look in the box of ready prescriptions. She stood still. I went down to the counter in front of the box and stood there and asked the pharmacist to look in the box for me. He assured me I could not look, and he entered in the computer, stood there. I ask him (my final time) to please look, and he did and no prescription. Now, if only Canesha had looked, the customer would have been happy. Customers count! The message wife received is still there.
