The place we were looking for was closed unexpectedly, and we wondered whether we should try any of the three spots on the square. They all looked pretty touristy and I was worried food wouldn't be high quality and would be expensive. We were hungry, though, so decided to give L'Orient a try. We sat outside on the square and were offered an English menu (Spanish and German menus were visible, and there may be other languages as well.) They had several vegetarian options, and we both went for salads. Mine was the goat's cheese, and it was massive, really nice cheese, bits of toast and fruit as well as salad. Very filling, fresh, and reasonably priced. My guy had the salmon and avocado salad and said it was great. If you're in the area, this is a great spot.

I don't know how you can fry calamari and it be completely soggy minutes later. Unless it's precooked. This was a late night urge so I figured I'd come back and try an earlier dinner. I spotted monkfish on the me u the first visit, so I had to try it. I didn't see monkfish on any other menu, so I couldn't resist. Anyway the result was a seafood stew in a really bland sauce. It was housemade because there was clumps of flour from the roux. I don't mind that so much but the dinner itself just wasn't that good.
