Not only as good as they think they are... But better!!!! This is more than a school, it's a family…read moreand many of the staff actually attended there! Looked at every option and am close friends with many of the teachers in different schools and they all agree, it's a place like no other, like almost back in time but not. You just don't deal with what you deal with anywhere else and it's hard to explain unless you experience it. I've seen many people try Maui for a short time with young children as a year experiment and literally stay here because of this place...which is much bigger decision that deciding on a neighborhood somewhere. Lunches... Yes... They are catered by a restaurant people love to eat at and how they make it so affordable for the parents, including tuition is beyond me. But be prepared to join in the fun and become part of something that you just have to see for yourself to get. It's not your typical private school... When my kiddo needed tutoring, they rallied around him with a dedication that you would rarely see from one's own family, let alone a school. Now he's ahead of the curve and loves school. Days off are fantastic and little kiddo graduations are like nothing you've ever seen in terms of just fun and support in the aloha spirit. This is the one place on school earth that you can actually tell your kids if they were absent a day, that they didn't miss school...school actually missed them.

I would actually give this school a negative star if I could. The staff is extremely RUDE, both…read moreadministrative as well as teaching. A private school education with NO real professionalism. My child attended their ELC program (When Mrs. Nicole Okada was there teaching the 3yr old group, and she is the ONLY reason why that ELC program succeeded, she is the absolute GEM of all teachers, truly a beautiful soul and we were so blessed to have her for the year that we did. Otherwise the staff (besides Jan Pasamonte- who was another piece of Heaven at that school) is unkind, sassy, brash and down right mean. They do not respond to you in a timely manner, if at all. When you call to inquire about their school, they completely cut you off the phone. (and we called SEVERAL times to give them the benefit of the doubt!) Lahaina has very few options for outstanding pre-K schools and Sacred Hearts is just another example of staff collecting paychecks rather than doing their jobs of educating the future. (DO NOT SEND your child to their preschool program-HORRIBLE, I watched several of their teachers yell and scold these young children- it is NOT a happy place!) **My husband and I actually got into contact with Holy Innocents Preschool, and will take a tour of their school soon, but one thing to note: Their personnel on the phone was actually pleasant to speak with and gave us useful and detailed information- FINALLY

I don't know if they ever got over this, but the fact still remains: Parker is the better school. You could even say its just "real." The teachers are supportive and qualified, the students are pleasant, the curriculum is constantly improving, and the administration is known for its lack of stifling bureaucracy. AND its cheap as far as private school tuition goes.. I spent my last year at Parker, but I wish I could have started earlier! Stay tuned for Parkers up-and-coming "Thomas Center for Young Entrepreneurs Who Want to Learn About Business and How To Do Other Things Well Too" opening fall 2043. Organizer planned the event well with a map of where vendors going to be in front of classrooms. They sent out emails and promoted vendors via Instagram. On day of event, hours are from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. There was DJ who played kpop music and had at video of kpop groups. Beside kpop vendors, there were vendors inside the cafeteria and food truck vendors on the grassy in front of the school. There were alot of people who came from town and other parts of the island to support their friends who were vendors. This was a great event and hope that the organizer will plan to have this event again next year.
