    This is what we were charged after the service.

    I'm bummed that we had a bad experience with Molly Maid based in Orangevale, Ca. They were recommended by a neighbor. We had a walk through with a kind woman. She asked questions and looked through all of the rooms. I explained that dusting was the priority. She indicated that would definitely be taken care of and was a standard part of the initial, "deep clean." She quoted a time range and price range: 3-4 hours, $360 ‐ $480 (see picture). My husband called to let them know there was a key under the mat to get into the house, but no one would be present. On the date of cleaning, we picked up, clearing the floor and counters of most items. I got a call while at work - they said they were waiting outside to be let in. I reiterated that there was a key under the mat. That was the last thing we heard. When I got home that evening, the house looked pretty clean, but there were visible cobwebs and dust on the ceiling fans, doorframes, blinds, etc. Dusting was absolutely the priority and not done. I received notification of the charge the next night, and it was nearly $100.00 higher than quoted (see below). I called the following day to inquire why the bill was significantly higher. The woman answering the phone said, "Well, this was a deep cleaning." I explained I had a clear quote and price range. She said, "Well, it took them longer." Not an answer. I then explained that they did not address the priority - dusting. She said, "Dusting is a primary part of the deep clean. If you were dissatisfied, we would have expected you to call immediately after the service. Then, we would have sent the crew back. I see no record of that call." I responded, "This is that call." She sighed and said something about maybe they would send someone to look or check the dusting, but it was standard. At that point I realized they hadn't communicated within the company, hadn't completed the "standard" requirements, certainly hadn't addressed my request, had charged significantly higher than they stated they would, implied it was my fault for not "immediately" demanding they return and finish the job they were supposed to do, and possibly implied I was lying about the dust (see attached photo). I already have a job. I don't have time to make sure other people do their job.

    Overall the cleaning service was average. Two employees showed up on time, masked, with supplies and ready to go. Floor was vacuumed and mirrors were cleaned. However the results aren't worth how much I paid. All surfaces weren't cleaned, nor all my kitchen appliances. I was told top to bottom service but no walls were cleaned in bathroom. Also one employee was obviously working harder than the other. They made sure to use exactly 2 hours, but for what? Not exactly sure ‍.

    I contacted this company to have a property cleaned on a Friday after a tenant moved out. The agreement was for an hour and a half cleaning. After they "cleaned," I inspected the property and it was obvious that they barely cleaned the surface. At that point, the cleaning crew was gone. Corners were dusty, ceiling fan was dusty, countertops were filthy, stairway was dusty and the list goes. I contacted them that Friday, but they were closed. The Call Center answered and stated that they could only take appointments and was told that they would send a message to the office to contact me. I never got a call. I called again and was told that the manager, Sara, would call me back. At this point, we drove almost 2 hours and made sure that the property was cleaned before the new tenantsmoved in. After a couple of days, Sara called me and offered to clean the property. I explained to her that the new tenants already moved in. Sara mentioned that they needed to pay their workers and offered only a 20% refund, despite sending her time-stamped photos with dates. I do not recommend this company. Save yourself a headache.

    If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Where do I start.. Initial phone call- spoke to a nice guy who originally quoted me $125-$180 for a 1 bed/ 1 bath apt. I agreed and they got me in within a week! Second phone call after reading reviews- I spoke to Sara and had to REQUEST for them to clean all of the kitchen drawers and cabinets inside. Normally they just do outside? No problem she put it in the notes. Day of work- they called me after completing my apt which i had asked and appreciated that. I stopped by after work only to find that the bathroom was decently clean, the mirrors and counters were still dirty. There was debris in the kitchen cabinets and counters and the floors were still dirty. There was still dust all over out lighting fixtures and none of the base boards were cleaned. Mind you, they claim they have a move out check list to go off of, which is crap. I called to complain and they sent out another crew the following day and did a better job. The part that pissed me off, is there was blue stains left in the bedroom. Mind you, this was a move out clean and my husband and I have not lived in there for a few weeks already AND THERE WAS NO BLUE STAINS BEFORE THAT CLEANING DAY. As I complained about the stain, Sara immediately got defensive and claimed they don't use ANY blue cleaning solution because it stains and all the cleaning solutions are clear or light brown. But that she would check with the girls who cleaned and get back to me. Sara NEVER got back to me. Day they came back to reclean- my apt looked and smelled CLEAN. They did do a good job after the go back. But low and behold, a BLUE cleaner was accidentally forgotten from the cleaners and was ironically left in my bedroom by the stains. HMM, kind of funny that Sara claimed they absolutely don't use blue cleaners and here is this blue cleaner. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw that. After all of that, we had to turn our keys in with a stained blue carpet and when we asked for money back for the damage, Sara said NO because they supposedly noted the carpet was stained in the walk through prior to cleaning and that we didn't notify them within 24 hours of the cleaning. BULLSHIT. Then how did I request the go back? I have phone logs to prove. Oh and by the way, our quote of $125-$180 ended up being $270.00 . So they basically denied the stains and said to have our apt complex contact them to discuss. WHY WOULD WE HAVE THEM CONTACT YOU, IF YOU ARE DENYING THE DAMAGES. HAHA this place is very unprofessional and a waste of money. Avoid with all measures. - Shame on you Sara.

Basically they wanted me to pair a Share Of Cost of $3891 and that combined with my mortgage would almost take all my money that I have for the month. It was very hard for me to keep my house clean and I was kind of in denial about me having to do it all by myself. So I decided to go on yelp, and Donnie maids was the first company that came up. The owner of Valerie is very nice and very, very easy to work with She sent out a woman. I cannot remember her name, but she was also very good. She did a walk-through of my home and she asked if she could take pictures before she started taking pictures. I really appreciate that not that I have anything to hide lol. The next day two workers came and I instructed them what I needed done what was a priority and what I didn't need to have done just personal items that I'd rather take care of myself they did an amazing job. They were very quick and they were very thorough. I can tell when things are clean. When I rub my hand over surface. I can tell if it's been dusted and treated with Murphy's oil soap or if they've just been barely gone over they did a great job on my toilet and my shower And my kitchen which I thought was a disaster. I cannot recommend them enough please give Valerie a call and at least consider using them. He will not be sorry. I repeat again. You will be not be sorry for using Donnie maids. They are wonderful and I plan to use them again.

They were very transparent on the pricing and there were no surprises. I put a retainer down to hold the date and that went towards the overall price for the cleaning. Shea actually did the work himself with his assistant and were in and out well within the timetable agreed upon. I would include pics, but don't want people to see how dirty things were before, lol. These fellows are house-cleaning superstars who know what they're doing and who are a pleasure to do business with. We first met Shea and Colton after extensive research when we needed a major whole-house deep cleaning following the remodeling of our kitchen and master bathroom. The remodel involved a solid month of workers doing sawing, plumbing, electrical, and appliance installation - it was a mess! But Shea and Colton came through for us, fitting us into their busy schedule so that we didn't have to live in the post-construction dirt for long. And what a job they did! They were extremely thorough, even getting all the dust out of our shutters and the blades of our ceiling fans. The house smelled fresh and clean, everything sparkled, and it was a refreshing uplift after a month of major remodeling. They were so good that we eagerly signed them up for maintenance cleaning of our house every other week.     I decided to try Cara out because my current housekeeper failed to wash some dishes in the sink the…read morelast time she was here. I had specifically asked my prior housekeeper if dishes were something she minded doing before hiring her and I was told it wasn't a problem. Well I learned today to be happy with a few dishes not being done and the rest of the house being perfect. Cara initially scheduled our appt. for 9am and then texted the next day to ask to reschedule to noon. Which actually worked better for me. She followed up the morning of telling me she'd give herself a window until 12:30p and then didn't show up until 12:45p. Even though we'd gone over a checklist on the phone of what I wanted done I walked her through my home and went over everything again. So there should have been no misunderstandings. My wooden Kitchenaid cutting board and culinary school knives were put in the dishwasher!!! I was clear about washing what was in the sink. You don't run wooden cutting boards through the dishwasher. Nor do you run quality cutlery through a dishwasher. Anyone who cooks or who reads their product warning labels knows the detergent dulls the blade and causes rust. If my complaint about my last housekeeper is that she failed to wash dishes wouldn't you make sure you at least for that right? I told her my upstairs guest bath had been cleaned and hadn't been used and did NOT need cleaning. She cleaned it anyway. She took the vinyl floor mat from the bottom of the tub and put it in my washing machine telling me it needed to be cleaned. Well then clean it! At that point I was annoyed and told her that I didn't know why she cleaned that bathroom because I was clear it was already clean. She stated that she didn't hear me say that. Um...I only said it three different ways. Upon going into the laundry room to pull the vinyl mat out of the washing machine and put it back in its place I found one of my white wash clothes wet sitting on top of my dryer. I asked her what was this and she replied she didn't know. I told her I had done laundry the night before but hadn't washed any towels so there was no way I had put it there. Not to mention right before her arrival I slid a laundry basket full of clean clothes to the back of the top of the dryer to get it out of the way. From there it just went down hill. She used over the counter non professional cleaning products which left build up and residue on my mirror furniture, my bathroom mirrors and countertops and my glass shower. The rubber hair catcher at the bottom of the tub still had mold on it. There was hair on the outside of my shower which I had to point out twice to be redone. She scratched the enamel in my bath tub with the metal on the bottom of the scrubbing bubbles can. It seemed like it could be scratched off with a fingernail but she said she didn't do it, didn't see it. I had just taken a look at my tub the night before to see how dirty it was and that scratch was not there. I used my tub twice a week, I live alone and am very detail oriented. I would have definitely noticed if that scratch was there prior to her arrival. I found tortilla chip crumbs on the kitchen floor where she'd supposedly mopped and vacuumed. I told her about it and even on her hands and knees right in front of the crumb she couldn't find it. I could see it from across the room. There were crumbs on the counters, counters were streaky, so was the micro wave. She asked if I wanted the microwave cleaned which only required being lightly wiped down. She didn't touch it. The crumbs inside were still in the same place. She took my plastic food cover out of the microwave and also just threw that on top of everything else she'd haphazardly thrown in the dishwasher. I really wish I'd taken a photo if how she placed my chefs knife. Standing blade down in the silverware holder with the handle going up through the top rack with a plastic Starbucks cup on top. It jammed the two racks together so that you had to pull them both out together. She's lucky I didn't catch that while she was still here because I would have flipped my shit. My downstairs half bath toilet had bits of paper towel and hair on it. The toilet paper holder wasn't dusted. Which I had to ask her to dust twice to which she replied that she didn't even think to touch it. Um....what part of "wiping down surfaces/dusting" is difficult? I told her I wasn't happy and that I obviously wasn't going to get the results I had previously experienced with her over the counter household products. She responded with "Well if you're trying to get at the fact that you don't want to pay me then just say that." I was trying to take the more professional route and was planning on asking about the "No happy, No pay" policy mentioned in a previous review. I told her that since I'd now come out and said it if she'd like to address it and she had nothing to say. Almost left with one of my hand towels and spilled cleaner on my carpet. Damn text limit!
