So before or after you climb that mountain (literally) to enter the beauty of Èze, you see this lovely coffee- and Viennoiserie-truck / cart on your right-hand side. The coffee is not just good, it's really really good. In general, the French can make coffee just well. The coffee here, is exquisite! Good varieties, you can even add flavours (although, who would do that?!), but I know some of you coffee-drinking-devils like to infuse it with caramel, speculos, chocolate, mocca. They also have milkshakes, tea, softdrinks, and 'Viennoises' such as croissants, pain-au-chocolats, etc. Pay with cash or card (shocking!) and enjoy a little break after your descent / liquid courage before going up, on their cutest little terrace around the truck!

TripAdvisor seems to be king in Europe...Yelp is rarely used. Caffetteria Orefici was not listed on Yelp but hubby found them on TripAdvisor. This little cafe is a one-man operated shop with only a few small tables as well as a narrow counter. English is not spoken or understood here so we had to point to what we wanted. Behind the counter were about 5-6 different kinds of pastries, about 2 of each. They looked old and dry so we thought they were just for display. After picking a few items, we were surprised he pulled them out from behind the counter. There was a menu on the wall for drinks. Hubby ordered a cappuccino and being that I'm pregnant, I selected a decaf option, the cappuccino decaffeinato-d'orzo-ginseng-soia. The cappuccinos were delicious and pastries were good. The strawberry croissant with cream is what I ordered for myself and it was the best of all pastries we got. The cream was so good! I believe it may be freshly made. Our 3 pastries and 2 drinks cost €6 which is about $6.50. Such a great deal!

The coffee, baked goods, cheese, and chocolate are marvelous. Also, the service was incredible. Noting our poor French, one of the waiters (from the DC area) made us feel at home and talked to us. Also, took photos for us. Additionally, the place offers free wifi and encourages making phone calls to the USA on their phone system. If you are passing by, this place is an absolute must.
