This expiration policy was never stated anywhere on the gift certificate. There is no expiration date listed and nothing indicating it would become invalid. It was extremely disappointing to be told I couldn't use the gift certificate especially when the service was fully paid for and clearly specified on the certificate. This feels misleading and unfair to customers who receive gift certificates in good faith. Based on this experience, I would not recommend purchasing or gifting certificates from CaloSpa unless all expiration terms are clearly disclosed in writing.

I ended up paying $275 which I was not prepared to pay and I would have 100% refused service if I had known that is what I would be paying as I get a better deal at my usual spot. Just be aware if you're going for the first time make sure to tell them budget and units you want or they will just do as they see fit to get your money. Disgusting greedy behavior truly. I was told I was 2 minutes LATE, that's right, 2 minutes late to go in to see the doctor as a new patient. I explained to the uncaring receptionist that the sign said 2pm-5pm and it was only 3:30pm. She really said this, "we already have 5 new patients with the doctor". I guess I was suppose to care about that. I had read some bad stuff about the staff. Since the doctor has a very high rating, I can only assume he does realize the way to treat the staff treats the patients. Ashton was so extremely rude to me and it was silent in there because this is something they had obvious intentions with. I was so upset and telling the girls up front that I'd be calling back. Ashton for some reason aggressively walks fast towards me like she was going to put her hands on me. I turned around to confront her and told her to back off. What a dumb decision..finding out later from another client that she was fired for doing the same thing to a client at a different place. Just hiding behind all those good reviews. Remember those reviews reflect your work but not who you are as a person. I also had nose filler done only to find out later they are supposed to use an ultrasound to make sure you don't go blind. They did NOT use an ultrasound and he injected me like 4 times and said done. I didn't know what the routine was so you trust these random people. Never again. I've already filed a formal complaint and will continue up the chain because they refuse to respond from their lack of care. I sat in my car for an hour trying to calm down because I couldn't believe what happened. The manager came out and said " I'm sure we can work something out" lol absolutely not. Before going in they gave use a rundown of what to expect and how it would help us. Katie Martin preformed the sound bath and it was phenomenal and so transcendent. The acupuncture was nothing like I imagined and me being a newbie was shocked by how you truly do not feel it. However you feel the positive effects almost instantly. My week long headache was gone within minutes of the acupuncture. I highly recommend this to anyone as a solo trip or a group outing!
