I've read the reviews below. To be fair... I can only tout my overtures for the Endocrinology office. Like many other industries, the healthcare industry is "franchising" and incorporating multi-specialty practices into one building. Old Hook Medical is no different. It's extremely difficult to find an extremely good Endocrinologist (can I get an Amen from my diabetics and ThyroidCa Warriors!?). Dr. Daud was highly recommended by another fantastic Doctor of mine because my former Endocrinologist had moved to Cleveland and practices at the Cleveland Clinic for Endocrinology. It's was a quite expensive long distance relationship to keep up and alas, we tearfully parted ways... Well maybe not her ... I was devastated because bedside manners, cordial/hospitable staff is not included anymore and is in fact a rarity. The preceding reviews prove my point... Dr. Daud is one of the last Mohicans... Sans God complex... Stays abreast of her industry and calls you back. She keeps you informed and really takes the time to explain what's happening and what she's going to do in lay men's terms! I can say I'm lucky and thankful to have her because it's misery going through a series of know-it-all blowhards who play Dr. Frankenstein with you, having you walk around with hot/cold flashes, hives and anxiety because they are pedaling the next new drug like the peanut guy at Yankee stadium! Her staff is great and she is great. Perhaps the rest of the building needs to take a page out her book. Also,... Dr Daud came from the Cleveland Clinic of Endocrinology and I've often wondered if these two fantastic ladies just happened to have filled the other's position. I visited a doctor in the endocrinology department. I had no issues with the doctor but my lab work was sent to the wrong lab. Instead of a bill of $25, I had to pay $462. I called numerous times to see what could be done since it was an error on their part and not mine. Even though I eventually got through to someone and was told they would process the bill differently, no one ever followed up with me and the only outcome 5 months later was that the bill became seriously overdue. I finally just paid the exorbitantly priced bill in order to not deal with the office staff any longer. On top of that, when I got a call from the office staff to set up a second appointment, I was asked if it was my first time seeing that doctor. Why are patients required to spend 20 minutes filling out paperwork when no one even looks at it? Even though I had no issues with the doctor it was not worth the hassle of dealing with incompetent staff. I will never visit again and do not recommend putting yourself through that. read more

I have been going to this practice since the days of Dr. Ferraro. Unfortunately they got too big and could give a hoot about customer service. From the rude endocrinologist Dr to today when I went for a physical to find out they cancelled my appointment without letting me know. Only two Dr.'s worth anything are Zucker and Cantor. THE BILLING DEPARTMENT IS AWFUL! I met with Doctor Cantor back in November of 2016. I went in asking him to look at my nose and throat. I NEVER mentioned anything about an ear issue. He was really nice and before looking at my issues he said he was "going through the motions" and in the process checked my ears and removed some earwax. When I got my bilI had a $109.35 charge for earwax removal. This is where the fun begins... THE BILLING DEPARTMENT IS AWFUL! Try calling them right now 201-666-3900 x325 You'll get a voicemail from Jessica. You won't get Jessica because she never answers the phone, but when you hear her voicemail she will tell you that she is "she is working on returning your call but it is taking longer than expected due to the volume of messages that are being left" I can only imagine that this girl is trapped inside an office filled with huge stacks of memos and bills that she needs to get to. After a few messages and not receiving any calls I didn't pay the bill the first time I got it. On 3/8 she finally called me and said she'd discuss the ear charge with her supervisor. On 3/30 I called Jess to make sure she was alive because I hadn't heard anything and left another voicemail. On 5/8 I got another bill so in being proactive I mailed a check for the amount minus the earchage and said I wouldn't pay for something that I didn't ask to have done. 5/16 my check was cashed. That was the quickest response I've ever gotten. I guess they didn't mind taking my money. 5/19 FINALLY GET A CALL FROM JESSICA. I am working and she leaves a voicemail saying that I could have asked the doctor to stop the procedure, so they can't take away the charge 5/19 (5 minutes after Jessica's message) I call her back to discuss and I get her voicemail again. I explain that when I doctor tells you he's "going through the motions" that I didn't expect him to perform a procedure on me, let a lone a procedure that I didn't ask for. 5/26 Jess calls me and leave a vociemail because I'm working and I call her right back and get her voicemail. She mentions that I can send another letter to explain my not paying the bill, but I want clarification on who to address it to. 7/28 STILL NO RESPONSE FROM JESSICA BUT NOW I GET ANOTHER BILL AND A THREAT OF IT GOING TO COLLECTIONS. I called Jessica today and what do you know? Voicemail... Long story short. Just don't go here. Again, if you call for yourself you'll hear that poor Jessica is way behind in her work and can't get back to you. Maybe they should hire someone to help her. I've been trying for 8 months now to resolve this issue. **** ALSO JUST NOTICED ANOTHER REVIEWER (AND THERE'S PROBABLY MORE) SAYING THE SAME THING. Most people treated me with respect but some of the Secretary's and nurses did not give a flying hoot about me at all and regarded me as trash read more

Met with Dr. Daud after my previous endocrinologist didn't take my concerns seriously. She was so nice and knowledgeable. Great bedside manner combined with vast knowledge. She was able to help me with all my concerns and was so sweet. I really appreciated it! :) totally recommend her for thyroid disfunction. read more

Like many other comments I've seen, I have had a HUGE issue with their billing department and the office as well. I was constantly having bills sent to my house when they already had my insurance on file. I would call them regarding the bill statement and they would apologize and tell me that it's being taken care of. I also remember having to call my insurance and have them send over the explanation of benefits- proof that It was paid by insurance and I do not owe them. This was a reoccurring issue. Two year later I receive a bill from a debt collector with five office visits they claim I "owe". My insurance verified these claims were paid. I WOULD NOT recommend this place to anyone. Worst of all you can't even get a phone number to the billing office to get in touch with them and the staff at the office doesn't answer. I can't believe how horribly this place is ran. Seriously save yourself the aggravation and do not go here. I've seen plenty other comments dealing with this same issue and I'm telling you just go somewhere else so you don't have to continually deal with this B.S read more

the practice with dr. dombrowski has served my parents well. my mother just passed and unfortunately was not receiving care in her sunrise of old tappan under their director nor the poa son jack. my dad is not under his care now but would like to be the unfortunate issue is the nurse warren we do not know warrend not does dad my father had a gi bleed the hosptialiist to see him he went to my dad called me my dad almost died under the gal poa son left bleeding fro 11 days hgb 5.6 warren out of nowhere went to hospital where ed was so nice . and stated "what is the deal with YOUR father ???plan what is the plan the plan?? .. i stated he just arrived i saved his life along with sayeed under son he denied care he then rudely stated at me and i was with 2 colleague rn's " he what do you expect i mean he is 94 has dementia and has colon cancer my father has neither he is alert oriented dombrowski just saw him for an eval with guardian he is fine a gentleman just left blind by son and deaf by son and now both guardian and jack son are iignoring his gi bleed my dad is sharp he is loved army national guard visited him for his service my md and rn coleagus love him and this nurse warren came at me and wrote him off i was terrified i stated let me review dad had cancer over 40 yrs ago not now he is not demented as you say his son and sunrise wrote that so he could not see or sign a will or know of his finances he then stated your father i angry . i stated well he is left blind no glasses sunrise lost them eveining stated he was so nice and sweet and why are you stating this at me do you know that this nurse did after he wrote my dad off for dead and rudely stated basically at 94 .. do not help him he deserves to be helped he was so very rude callous and then stated " i have other patints to see ' well quite frankly he was not to see my dad he cannot write orders nor is hie to bill then after he had me in tearsi was just able to get my dad admitted sunrise nor the poa with bleeding did not even want my dad to go to the hospital see below just like my mom passed i care for dr drobrowski i knew the other female nurse my mother tryly liked her but get the deal the nurse visit in hospitals is all about the bill and yes this man abused my dad and harmed him i called him back he went to my father guardain who also denied my dad care reporting to the court and " "told on me ' i did not lke what brenda said " why is that warren i did not want you to allow my dad to not be die to not be transfused or made comfortale ? i did and my call to dr sayeed hospitalist saved my dad life he just treated him 11 days ago warren kept saying " you dad is a dnr a dnr it was horrible i did not even know who he was nor did he know my father and then when the other nurse cared so much for my dad " such a nice man " warren calls me to say your dad is a dnr ( like who are you ? ) and he is gone demented and cancer of which he has neitehr i do not recommend this nurse of the process and yes we had to record it after such abuse and disrespect for senior i am a nurse a legal consultant and care manager . never have i witnessed such chavenism or degrading ' let him die ' i advised him to read dr dombrowski assessment of john sheehy only a month ago not quite teh death sentence of abuse from warraen nurse . horribel we were so worried as my dad was alert but corona is denyiing vistiors collen and jack refsued to monitor dad he called up ' 'help please so weak bleeing and no one is helping me his son nor guardain elton . and now this with warren glick nurse ' my dad we hope he can get glasses and hearing and help is gi bleed . and home . and out of sunirise , away from his guardian elton bozanian esq nj and stacey maines imagine all this people and only i could help him i am statign taht my father is never to be seen by this warren ever again and i hope he does not abuse any other parents like he did my father and billed for it ? my father now has always been healthy unfortnately he suffers for severe eye disease as well as hearing loss combo-military service and advanced issues dr.dombrowski and he have always had a respectful relationship and when his son jack and colleen v of sunrise of old tappan they failed my dad and denied care-they then became very hostile i reached out to dr. dombrowski i do not know what transpired an unprofessional guardian ad eitem elton bozanian his role was to help my father .. he failed that would not allow dad to go to his specialists that he chose much like jaack he denied care then my dad began to have gi bleeding he bled for 4 days went to hospital denied followup care and then i reported that poa and guardian now warren how is he to write off life my dad before more denial of care by jack and colleen no visitos no heairng aids and visoin care and now warren adn elton he was walking half a mile every day fit et all since november he has bee denied care/new meds and sad read more

Let's start with that I worked with doctors for 13 years, I have never experienced the rude and sarcastic Doctor towards their patients! Staff maybe but not to patients!! . We went to go see Dr Ali and examined my mothers throat two feet away!!! I couldn't believe my eyes! My father said she did the same to him he was so uncomfortable he left her practice. I kept my mom going there because I love the staff and the care that they showed. But Dr. Ali always had this sarcasm with my parents their was no compassion or bedside manner. I just couldn't believe my eyes on the way she examined my mother as if she had a airborne disease. I am so hurt that I have to give this kind of review I am not that type of person but I guess I have to because that is not how a doctor should examine patients and don't get anything resolved! Was also a patient of Dr. Daud-Ahmad & can't recommend her highly enough. Unlike other doctors, she not only took my (thyroid) concerns seriously, but was savvy enough to dig deeper & realize I had a much more serious pituitary issue. Thru her, I was referred to NY Presbyterian/Columbia & some of the best specialists in the business. A year post-surgery, my health is vastly improved, which without her invaluable insights, I may never have diagnosed. Truly top-notch! read more
